Playing NFL 2K and NBA 2K for the first time on Dreamcast was game changing. Love all the different sports games on that console.
Was sad when NFL 2K that one year charged a cheaper price, had the better game, and blew the doors off Madden. Then that scum EA bought up the NFL rights. I miss that series.
I could care less about football in general, but that series was fun. I’d look at the plays and be like “that looks neat…let’s go”, pretty much mindless chess it was to me.
One day I got madden as a bday gift, tried it with the friend who gave it to me. After the game was over I was like “I’m good fam” played powerstone instead.
The game they did when they lost the license but grabbed retired players was way better than Madden as well.
Can we really call this a next gen patch. Even on Xbox it states it is only gen 9 aware and a gen 8 game.
2K was fun but I could run for 300 yards a game with Philip Rivers and never throw a pass and win, it was an easy game to play.
Yeah those are just the Pro and One X versions being run on the new consoles at 60fps, they didn't do anything with textures or resolution etc.
