In saying that, it's absolutely a talking point that VRR can cause flickering and burn in no matter how far ahead of it's rivals the console may be. Can also help be a deciding factor in multiplatform games till it's fixed.

Plus it's a good way to stay informed and turn it off to prevent issues.

It's not as big as having GAMES.
VRR is super niche and full of issues with most displays still anyway.

Hello all. I'm Dtwices son. My ps5 along with Xbox gt is gossamerdino. I want to let you all know that our time with him is limited. If it's ok with you I'd like to use his name on this website. Kinda my way of honoring him. Now I would like let you in on little known facts about him. I don't know if he told you any of this stuff.... He is by far the best mortal Kombat player outside of professionals that I've ever seen. He was awesome and fun to watch. Because of him I got into gaming. He told me about his colecovision, Atari 2600, Nintendo, then the ,ps1, ps2. I know he had some older gaming consoles but I can't remember the name of them. Also, he gets a kick out of this console war. Sometimes I would hear him laugh in the bathroom and I knew he was reading something on this site. Oh I'm 16 soon to be 17. I'm sure gonna miss him. The best dad anyone could ask for

Here is what was actually said :

During an interview with Japanese publication Gamer, Rebirth producer Kitase claimed there were several factors involved in the decision not to release the game for PS4.

“It’s exclusive to PlayStation 5 because of the graphical quality, of course, as well as SSD access speed,” he said (translated by Gematsu).

“Since the adventure unfolds in a vast world after the escape from Midgar, loading stress is an extreme bottleneck. We felt we needed the specifications of PlayStation 5 to overcome that and travel the world comfortably.”

The SSD nonsense remind me of salepeople overselling one feature of their product as it was the only thing slightly better than others, while ignoring all the other features worse than the competition.

Everyone using SSD, & better SSD will/is available already, & the differences are not drastic, best in class or not. There is a reason why PC gamers spend Money on better GPU/CPU, & not "best in class" SSD. Because these are bang for bucks where you get best performance. there is a reason when we PC gamers compare spec, we NEVER talk about how fast our SSD is.

The only difference between the PS5 and PS4 versions would be loading screens.

Take those pocket dimensions for example, FenyX Rising has the exact thing on last gen hardware.

Here in the US the Series S can be found just about everywhere you look and has been widely available for a while, the series x is more hit and miss but doing a quick search of 3 retailers here 2 had them had the XSX available thorough xbox all access and best buy had them in store ready for pick up. The PS5 is much harder to find and are still mostly online only simply because when a store does get them in they sell out right away.
 
MS have always said they can pump out S consoles much quicker than X hence it being the better seller out of the two.

Plenty of games have them and I would say Titanfall 2 still does it best.

You also have plenty of games that load much quicker on Series X. The SSD is just another company over hype. All of them do it.

Yeah as others have said the series s can use chips that didn't make the cut for series x, all of PS5's internals are exactly the same other than the disc drive so while you have one consistent set of hardware and every PS5 is a true next gen machine it also prevents them from matching Series S stock that makes it onto store shelves.
