I also feel that we may not see anymore on this until E3 2015. The reason being as to not overshadow H2A or Halo 1-4 collection that is likely coming this fall. That is why they announced this now....to clear the decks for Halo 1-4 and appease those waiting for Halo 5 with this info.
I wonder if the multiplayer will be the same that we know for many years or something totally different because of the cloud?
Well, I always felt Halo MP was very good performing for being peer to peer. Always felt they had good net code. What I'm hoping is that cloud-hosted ups the player limit with larger maps. I'm trying to not get too excited as I don't think we'll know any of this until next E3.

Wouldn't be surprising, they have people formerly from tons of studios, an artist from insomniac doesn't sound like a stretch.
Man..this announcement makes the wait to E3 a little harder. I do hope they'll show some gameplay. It's been a little more than a year, that's surely enough time for some amount of content to be made and ready to show, but part of me worries this E3 is overhyped.
but then, with bioware, battlefront and 6 EA games, (with hopefully some more under the star wars contract) confirmed halo news for every day, and the amount of time we've gone without a fallout (as in, we're due) I guess it'll be good.

ONI spook/assassin maybe? There was/is more conflict than just the Covenant/Forerunner, there is also internal UNSC. I am sure that ONI wants to obtain the keys that unlock the location of all Forerunner tech in the galaxy, at any means possible...
That's what I was thinking too, man I've watched that legendary ending so many times never gets old.
The other Spartan like character could be from the Human - Forerunner wars, Master Chiefs counter part from those times about 100,000 years ago when the Humans were thoroughly defeated by the forerunners, bombed into the stone age and devolved. It could be that John 117 is in fact "re-incarnation" of this character to finish what was started as the "reclaimer" so the "mantle" of responsibility of all things finally falls to Humans where it rightly belongs.

I'm sort of hoping for a halo 2 thing where you play as both.

So it's Halo 5: Guardians huh? Sounds like a cool name. Just give me that epic gameplay at a blistering 60fps and i'm there. Can't wait!
If it doesn't get with the times and have ADS then I will be very disappointed almost as much as them lying and saying it was coming 2014.
Ahh ok relax as far as I remember they said there will be a halo game in 2014 no halo 5 confirmation anywhere just speculations from very few whom you decided to hang your hat on.
