Halo 5: Guardians

In Episode 9, of SpartanOps, the UNSC Navy's intelligence division ONI has ordered the assassination of rogue scientist Doctor Halsey. Spartan Sarah Palmer is assigned to carry out the mission. Lasky, however, thinks this is a mistake and sends Fireteam Majestic to stop her.

"The Key" is the second-to-last episode for this season of Spartan Ops. Expect it to introduce new storylines as much as it wraps up existing ones. The episode description from 343 Industries says that Fireteam Majestic will find "the key to the future of the Halo universe" on their mission.
So, perhaps it's Sarah Palmer trying fulfill here mission, with one hugh obstacle standing in her way.

I got to say, despite earlier rumors pointing to this, I am a little disappointed that Halo 5 will be delayed to next year. Though I am very excited for it and it sounds like they are really going all out.

Will be interesting to see what Microsoft has at E3. Although Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break look to be solid games, they are going to need to release something else equivalent to Halo this coming Fall if they want really start to close the gap.

Since E3 2013, Microsoft has done a lot of things right and seemingly done everything they can to reverse previous mistakes and make them competitive with the PS4. However if they want to catch up, they are going to need something big coming out this holiday.

If they're dropping bombs in May, what the hell do they have planned for e3? I can only assume bigger news on the way..

The hips? I don't see it.

But the arms don't seem bulky enough.

The arms don't mach the hands. See how the waist is narrower than the hips? The "pecs" are looking more "breast-y" to me as well, but it's hard to tell- especially if you consider how they were portrayed in halo 4 in armor. I never thought anything but athletic female the moment I saw the image. I could be wrong, and the art accidentally came out more androgynous- I wouldn't expect that from artists of that caliber, though.

^ That would definitely be a bold move.

But I don't want to play as my own, I want to play as the Chief

Guys, I'm telling you, 343 just confirmed it's a new character. It's the Anti-Chief! It's... It's... BIG BOSS!

Top character is Cortana, calling it now.

Bookmark it.

"We are Forerunners, guardians of all that exists" - Ur-Didact

Maybe its not human and because its holding a human weapon its not forerunner either

LOL...super hyped for this. All signs pointed to Fall 2015 so I'm not surprised/shocked/disappointed about that at all. This does have me wondering, with the lot of you, WTF MS have for E3...they are dropping megatons before the conference even starts!

Its a he or her. Why the legs are so wide apart in the armor?

Microsoft dropping bombs before E3. Great stuff coming from them these last 2weeks.

Recon Spartans in the books are Teenagers, part of colonel Ackerson
Then they should really rework that image. I'm definitely not the only one who thought it was a woman. Anti-Chief would be awesome.
Spartan 3 Recon armor is lighter, has cloaking capability and no shields, part of Colonel Ackerson's black ops program. Without armor all Spartans can lift three times their own weight, run in excess of 80 kph, and reaction time speed, completely off the charts. Spartan 3s additionally are oblivious to pain from catastrophic injury and will, literally, fight 'till dead. Of course, all Spartans will fight 'till dead, Spartan 3s just don't feel the pain...at all. Post Covenant War Recon Armor may have been augmented or changed.

The Spartan IIIs were 13 in ghosts of onyx, but they are 18/19 now.

It wasn't the thinness that made me think female, but the shape of the body. Not may guys have waists narrower than their hips. Anyway, it's moot. It's just artwork. We know it isn't a girl now. I need more info!!!

You forget to mention how they're mentally unstable. Spartan IIs>Spartan IIIs for evers.
