Here's the livestream....I didn't think Warzone was going to have a blue vs red fight in it.....thought it was just going to be one team vs enemies? Maybe that's another mode of it?

Is there some special secret sauce that makes it work? I still am seeing that the game is $30 although on the app on the phone it says play free days.

I finally got the option to install it late last night. I haven't had a chance to see if it's finished installing and if I can launch it though.
Sad, the game is less than a year old and they are already giving away free trials. Must be it's franchise low sales figures. The game stinks so I see why it didn't sell well.

I dunno. Halo 5 is arguably one of the best in the series and definitely one of the best FPS in the bizz. The multiplayer is second to none, complex and a lot of fun to play. The single player campaign is also full of great moments, great gameplay, has a great story hook, the A.I. is brutal and the experience makes you hungry for the 6th Halo. IMO, Halo 4 and 5 did what they were supposed to do. It seems like people expected more out the game, but, again, if 343i were to make too many changes to the gameplay, people would be bitching that its nothing like Halo. If they wouldnt have made any changes, people would bitch even more than they are now. 343i is damned if they do, damned if they dont...
Eh...I'm sure Halo 6 will release on PC and have cross play. That should please some of the closet fans.

Yeah it was way too easy in the beta but they need better final objectives that don't invole Warden Eternal. Nobody wants to fight him anymore.
I was gonna say. If this was a PS game guys like Intelly would be all over it. Sony putting their games in the bargain bin early cause the sales must suck and the game sucks!
I think it's a smart move by Microsoft though. They've already made what they're going to make on it. Put it into people's hands for free with the hope that they get hooked, buy the REQ packs and then buy the game. Plus by the time Fall comes around nobody is going to be playing Halo with all the shooters coming out.
It has certainly sold better than Halo Wars. We also don't know its sales numbers so we don't really know where is stacks.
How can you say say we don't know it' sales figures but that it has sold better than Halo Wars? Makes 0 sense.
Official numbers for halo 5 haven't been announced as far as I know. I'm including digital sales as well.
I thought we all know its going to be a low count because of the digital sales dont include on any games.

The Halo 5 world championship had the highest prize pool in FPS history, 1.5 million of which was funded by community REQ pack purchases.

Since the heyday of HALO 2 we have had so many other competitive console FPS games. When Halo 2 came out IT WAS THE ONLY FPS to really play. Now you have the COD's,Battlefields,Titanfall,Star Wars BF,Etc.
Exactly, and the majority of those are multiplatform.
Without getting too console warish, how do Sony's exclusive FPS' fair by comparison on their considerably larger user base? I am asking because I honestly don't know.

I do think there is a drop that goes beyond competition. Halo 4 sold big right out of the gate and the competition was plenty strong then. I think 4 and MCC had enough issues that people have lost interest and this free trial is a worthy attempt at getting some back.
I downloaded the game and played the first 3 or 4 missions. I had some fun and I may try to finish the campaign before the trial ends. But a lot of the same gameplay was involved in the game. Riding the Warthog, driving the tank, but I'm just tired of that now.

I wanted to like Halo 5 mp but I have never been this bad at a shooter in my life. I'm never been beast or much above average but in this game I have like a .22 kd and that just isn't enjoyable getting owned like that consistently. I have tried tweaking controls and changing up weapons and strategies and nothing works.
I was terrible for a long time. My usual super aggressive self amounted to stupidity in Halo 5 MP. Once I learned to be more tactical with teammates and knowing when and when not to engage based upon advantages/disadvantages of the situation is when I started to get good. Halo 5 MP has a steep learning curve but once you become a super badass it is so, so rewarding.
The campaign is mediocre but the multiplayer deserves to be in the conversation for best console FPS of all time. The balance is incredible in Arena gametypes. No other Halo or console FPS is as fair and skill based as Halo 5. All weapons have their purpose and there's a reason to pick everything on the map up yet you are more than capable with your default starting weapons.
There's something for everyone. Firefight is good for casual co-op. Warzone has it's niche. The best Forge maps are better than a lot of 343's maps. After all the updates, there's tons of content.

I just read that the free trial for Halo 5 has been extended by a day to July 6th! I think it was due to technical difficulties the first day of the trial.
I'm starting to warm up to the campaign. I'm having fun but I'm afraid it will be over soon. Also, I know it's been said before but no couch co-op makes me sad. I'd love to play through this with my son. I'm sure the stats say that hardly anyone plays local co-op anymore so they didn't put it in the game.
I tried Firefight because I love horde mode and it is tough as balls! I'm not a MP person. I'm too old and don't have enough time to play MP competitively. (Guess I'll go play Reach)
I'm just trying to determine price point for this game and if I'd ever touch it again after finishing SP. does anyone else feel that way?
