I know we got some peeps here who have read many or near all the books, I’ve only read the fall of reach and ghost of onyx, which I enjoyed….the former was used initially for the screenplay that that guy who wrote 28 days later.

Oh and the expanse leftovers, is that pre or post Amazon rights purchase?

Just realized this is yet another series that is only releasing one episode per week. It's going to be May before the season is done. Streaming sites really want to go back in time and become TV again.

That's why I am waiting until it is done and only paying for a month. I have a really, really strong feeling that I'm going to hate this anyway.

Interesting that the official xbox social channels are not hyping this show. Guess Microsoft really has little to do with the show now.
 
Supposedly game pass subs can get a month free of Paramount Plus? I haven't tried it and not sure if it is accurate.

I watched it during lunch, first episode was a mixed bag for me. Effects are all over the map, some good and some terrible. The effects in the opening scene to the show are crazy outdated and ugly. Some of the writing and acting choices are disappointing. Some of the action has been fun. The moment the Spartans appear was awesome. The ships, weapons, vehicles, and suits look really nice.

I am not sure how I feel about it. I wouldn't want them to show his face in the games but given that its a show I don't know other than to say if they are going to do its good that they just ripped the bandaid right off and moved on.

Maybe they were trying to avoid Mandalorian comparisons?

Now I guess I go in like Marvel where they use the material loosely but not to the books. I see the Marvel Ultimate and a little of the main Marvel for the MCU.

I guess I have to do this as well.

There is a much bigger head scratcher in this first episode than him taking his helmet it off

But it it had its moments. There is potential outside of the dodgy CG
