I watched it and I thought it was good, just the Chief taking his helmet off was a bit weird but everyone at my house thought it was good. My other members of my family don't play games and they thought it was good.
So I guess this is like a intro for those who don't know Halo.
Is the flood gonna be the equivalent to dragons in this series? We won’t see them until season four or five? Maybe a spin-off with just ODST? Or a prequel series?
It sounds like the show runner never played any of the games and is trying to make this its own thing, that doesn't make sense IMO.I liked it overall but its is a mixed bag. Actions scenes were more brutal than I thought they're be, however they did get janky at times. Also the CG Covenant characters and Spartans were a bit too clean, nothing that can't be improved in the future though. Story looks like its going to be very different from the games/books, so will have to see where it goes before casting judgement on it.
This looks awful lol, MC's animations look like something from 90's television.

Yeah he turned Star Trek into fun entertainment. Love the new films.I haven't seen this yet (waiting for a free trial when I can catch all the episodes without paying), but it reminds me of when JJ Abrams re-did Star Trek and admitted to never watching the original, Next Gen, or any movie or other Star Trek. They turned Star Trek into a generic sci-fi action flick and completely missed what the series was about.
Halo has such great storytelling and many great books written around it, I don't get why they are just ignoring it. It isn't like Halo is some game that had little story to it and needed a bunch more.
Halo mostly does not have great storytelling but Fall of Reach would be a great thing to adapt for the first season. Seems like a no brainer to me.I haven't seen this yet (waiting for a free trial when I can catch all the episodes without paying), but it reminds me of when JJ Abrams re-did Star Trek and admitted to never watching the original, Next Gen, or any movie or other Star Trek. They are fine they just aren't Star Trek to me.Yeah he turned Star Trek into fun entertainment. Love the new films.
What I always told die hard Star Trek fans after those came out is then go watch your old ST movies and tv shows. The new movies got me into Star Trek. Now I’m interested in watching the new shows on P+ and wouldn’t mind going back and watch the old ST films and the NG ST films. They are fine they just aren't Star Trek to me.
I haven’t seen the episode first, but I believe it may be the one he reaches out to whilst in the cave/cavern, as seen in the trailer(s).What artifact?
