So, after 21 matches I'm still level 1 on the Battlepass. Lol.
What's dumb is apparently the season goes through May 2022. I have no idea why they are doing a super slow trickle like this.
Why not make more seasons and increase the rate? You'd think they'd make more money doing it this way. I really like the game, but don't think I'll be grinding it from now until May.

I guess they might be worried people will level it too fast, but that's stupid. They will lose more players from lack of rewards than they would from people running out of things to unlock.
If you max your battlepass you obviously love the game and are probably going to keep playing it.
Would like to see xp per medal or some type of performance based incentive. Definitely a win bonus.

That can't be right. That is 6 months for 1 Battlepass..not even a good BP. 343 are going to kill it with decisions like this. I assume that means no new content for 6 months too, as that is usually tired to seasons which usually have a new BP.
How are game companies this dumb?
200 xp per game played. Lower the weekly ones. Done. 2 mins of work and it is fixed.

How is it 2021 had 3 huge shooters and they all f***ed themselves somehow? All with stuff any gamer could have told them was a bad idea. It is ridiculous.
You'd think they'd make more money breaking the long season up into 2. You'd think they would have a separate team working on cosmetics over the other stuff, but maybe not.

They are doing an event tomorrow that has a free battle pass so I guess that is how they are going to trickle out some extra content but this compares very poorly to other Halos or other F2P games
And I should point out that the event has 30 tiers and you get only 1 week

An article I read on Fractures made it sound like the rewards (armour) wasn't usable in normal MP.
It's not good right now (the progression), but the game does play great.
The first Halo and Halo 2, I was probably 75% online and LAN parties at home with friends and family, 25% campaign. Since then it has changed slowly to now being 95% campaign, 5% online. I am guessing this Halo will end up being 100% campaign and 0% online.
It needs adjustments, but it has no real impact on the fundamental game. It only really impacts the BP, which mostly unlocks cosmetics.
Gameplay is good. Performance is good. I haven't noticed a single bug.
It is everything else that has issues. Progression. Lack of content. Playlists. No stats page. No medals page. No leveling system outside BP. Forced cross play. This huge gap between BP 1 & 2.
Where is the weapon customisation?
If you want to keep people playing it does.
The old just rely on gameplay model hasn't worked in a long time.
People want something to play for.
If the gameplay wasn't so polished I would say it feels very early access.
