i really enjoyed Halo 5 multiplayer a lot. The Halo 5 to me is like Halo 2 when no one wants to play the other character, just MC.

Arbiter at least added something to the story. If you put MC in place of Locke in those missions the game doesn't change much.

I barely even remember playing Halo 5 at this point. I know I did, but don't remember it at all. I just remember the stuff with Cortana.

It's been like what, 5 years. I only remember because I played through the campaign again a few months ago. And played through the Reach campaign a few weeks ago.

I don't understand why people hate sprint so much. I'd rather have it than not.

Because the MP was better before it was added.

But its 2020 and its not going away. I think the people that were bothered by it have got over it so they wouldn't feel any need to get rid of it.

Over at ERA they're complaining about it. I don't think they're over it yet. Just an observation. Either way I'm good.

People still complaining about sprint all over social media. Having no sprint is stupid. Spartan super soldiers not being able to run makes no sense, especially when the Covies could run. Halo 5’s MP maps could have been better, but the gameplay was outstanding.

Might as well get rid of walking and crouching while you’re at it. Only directional thrusting with 10 second cool down for movement outside of vehicles, and while you’re at it, the vehicles can only turn left and can’t go in reverse.

It is Halo, and people will micro-analyze it 1000 times over, arguing over which version of the game was the "one" that got it right.

I was watching some Destiny Youtubers jumping back into Halo on PC for some MP and I came to the realization - nobody really wants another Halo MP game. I mean, they think they want one - they want the romantic concept they have of them playing Halo 2 or 3 or whatever, but that doesn't really exist.

These guys all play 4-5 games and get their gameplay videos, but then jump back to whatever they were playing before.

People who ask for no sprint are the players that are getting their ass kicked by everyone who can move better.

Its a series whose MP hasn't been great in 10 years.

And yes I do think 5 improved on 4 but its not great.

I would go a step further and say that the games that were great back then wouldn't be great now. All these games have been re-released and remastered, and while people play the MP, they don't stick.

I was watching Youtubers play Halo 3 (the one I happened to play the most) and the nostalgia was great. Did I actually fire up Halo 3 to play though? Nope. The 10 minutes watching someone else play was all I needed. That's when it hit me.

I think I want a Halo MP game, but I really don't. I played 5, but not a bunch. It was a solid game. Other games are better. I will tell you how much I hate COD and Warzone and how the skill based matchmaking is garbage, but I played the heck out of it all weekend anyway.

Gamers are chasing nostalgia, and we're never going to find it on the MP side. If they innovate, they break the formula. If they don't innovate, nobody will like it because it isn't really what they want.

I hope I'm wrong, because I want to like Halo MP, but I don't think I really know what I want.
