Have you ever bought a console for just one game?

Hell no.

I did buy 360 for Halo, but I also knew at the time that I would be getting many other games. But just for one game alone? Nahh.

Pretty much every console I've bought at launch, with the exception of the PS4 which I bought mostly for a selection 3rd party and indies.

Got it beat, bought a PS4 for zero games. 4 months later I bumped my collection to 1 by getting Infamous. So technically I am in the camp now of buying a console for 1 game.

That all should end next week when I get Trials Fusion but then some people don't count arcade games as games, lol. ;)

Heavy Rain on PS3 got me thinking about the console but didn't buy it until the Killzone 3 bundle.

bought a ps3 for MGS4, only somewhat recently though. I had waited and waited on the off chance they'd release for the xbox, like when I got a ps2 for MGS3.

Though I have played Dust 514 on the ps3, I would still definitely say, I bought it for MGS4.

I bought a PS3 when I heard that Twisted Metal was coming to PS3.

I bought an OG Xbox for Halo. GameCube for Resident Evil 4. 360 for Gears of War and PS3 for Demon's Souls. Don't regret a single purchase.

I bought an N64 for Mario 64. I bought a Playstation for Final Fantasy 7. I bought an Xbox for Knights of the Old Republic. So...yep.

Yep. I managed to find a PS3 a few weeks after its launch, just for Resistance. Great great game. Sold the PS3 2 weeks later to a friend for $500.00(what I payed for the 20 gig model) Still want to play R2 and 3,hoping they bring them to the PS4 someday.

I bought a PS4 for Killzone.

I then quickly got rid of it after that... well, tried to get rid of it quickly... but after no one would buy it off me, I traded it in at Gamestop.

Nope.

One game is simply not enough for the outlay. Does't matter how big the game or how much I enjoy the series, if there aren't currently or on close horizon other games which please me, then it is a no go.

When bought the Ps2 did not buy it for any special games (first console I bought myself), for a month or sow only played the demo disk then later on picked up SSX.

being a Dreamcast owner and a massive fan of phantasy star online, I brought a Gamecube just for another PSO game.

There have been single games that have pushed my decision over the edge, but no single game has come along to make me spend hundreds of dollars just for it though. I'm waiting for Shadow of the Colossus 2 to hit PS4 though. I'd shell out hundreds to play that.
