Helldivers 2 achieves the highest all time Steam concurrent users peak of any Sony PC title even before the weekend​


These are the all time Steam CCU peak for the Sony games released on PC:

  4. Horizon Zero Dawn: 56,557

I've only played 2 missions but this is fun. Soloing since matchmaking doesn't seem to work. I always get a failed to join error and I've had 2 crashes when I was messing with armor. I hope they fix the issues soon because the shooting and presentation are done well. Closest thing to Starship Troopers.

Yep. Sony are going to go all games PC day 1 sooner rather than later.

It's also a live service and multiplayer game which instantly appeals to some gamers who could play it with friends right away.

Think this aligns with their strategy of releasing their GaaS games day 1 for both PC and console. Also why I think this brings merit to why this could come to Xbox as well to boost players numbers.
 
If this turns out to be somewhat successful Sony might be acquiring Arrowhead Studios to fund more of these types of games 🤔
 
Seems MS journalists are also now more receptive to multiplatform games after this change in stance

I was against this too until I found out that most anti cheat on PC is now kernal level, so more than likely any MP game you play has kernal level anti cheat.

But....I agree with you.

Played maybe a couple hours last night with one other person. Really fun. Can get really crazy can't imagine a team of 4 and higher difficulties.

As previous acquisitions have shown(yes Sony included) stay independent.
