Billionaire financier George Soros, a major Democratic donor, is backing an effort to persuade former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2016, a spokesman said on Thursday.

Soros, 83, has pledged $25,000 to political action committee Ready For Hillary, the largest and best-funded independent group backing a potential Clinton candidacy. The wife of former President Bill Clinton would be widely viewed as the favorite for the Democratic presidential nomination if she decides to run. - Source

Since becoming a Democrat in 2003, George Soros has endorsed both Democratic Presidential Nominees at least 2 years before they were elected. Hilary thought she was a lock in 2007 and decided to brush off Soros and ended up losing to Obama who seemingly came out of nowhere. Bottom line is you won't win a Democratic Primary without George Soros. There was some talk of Joe Biden or possibly Elizabeth Warren running, but they can't run against Hilary without strong backing.

Now the only choice left is between Deval Patrick and Cory Booker for VP. That will be a tough choice.

Post your predictions on who
you think will be the Democratic
and Republican Nominees

Logical progression..first black president straight to first woman president

I'm calling it now. If Hilary can stay healthy she will be the next Democratic Nominee.

If Jed Bush runs I believe he will be the next Republican nominee. I think he will beat out Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul just because he is the blue blood favorite. If it's anybody else coming out of the Republican primary then Hilary will win easily. I like Chris Christie and Rand Paul, but the Republican establishment doesn't want anybody who isn't in lock step with them on every issue. They would rather let Hilary win than to have a guy in there like Rand Paul who they can't control.

Democratic Nominee:
Hilary Clinton

Republican Nominee:
Jed Bush

Ted Cruz can't run.. he isn't a naturalized citizen. He was born in Canada.

I like Rand Paul... but truth is sad, the Reps have not much to go with.

If hillary wins... we can just sit back and watch the US burn to the ground

Yeah... Before we get there, we have to get through elections next fall, and with Obama care currently making health insurance less affordable, rather that more affordable, with no end to that phenomona in site, after Ted Cruz making sure that Obama and the Democrats totally own Obama Care...

Gonna make 1994 look like a cake walk. Chris Christie is more likely to be the Democratic nominee than Hillary Clinton in that environment...

25k to a Super PAC and it makes news?

That's nothing in comparison to other donations.

Jed Bush doesn't stand even a remote chance. Not even in the primary.

Chris Christie is the only Republican one who polls well against Hillary. Last poll I saw he was around just 4 points behind her in a direct vs poll for president. He's also polling second place in a Republican primary.

If Republicans want to be smart, they'll pick him. Play their cards right, and they might even steal New Jersey. But I doubt it.

I'm going out on a limb and say MD governor O'Malley will be the DNC nomination.
I just think that Hilary wont be able to withstand the Benghazi accusations.

I think it depends on what happens in 2014. If the Dems take the House, I think there will be a swing back to the right in 2016 because the republicans will be able to play the fear card of one party controlling the Congress and WH. And so I would lessen her chances. If repubs somehow hold onto the House in 2014 then I think she runs and wins a close contest in 2016, mainly because we'll see more government shutdowns, stalling tactics, lack of progress in legislation, etc and dems will be able to play "dat republican craziness" card. I think sooner or later there will be a republican purge out of Congress by voters, just a question of whether it will be in the midterms or not.

Obama frequently pegged George W.'s record onto McCain.

I expect the Republicans will essentially try to attach Obama's record to Hillary's campaign especially regarding Healthcare.

The Affordable Care thing seems to be on a bumpy start. If it continues to have problems Hillary will have to step up and explain how she'll overhaul it. The unknown factor is if she'll try to modify ACA into the plan she ran on into 2008 and how that might go over with voters.

Aside from that, she'll probably still beat the latest assclown the GOP nominates.

Sorry that's BS, prices are coming down in a lot of places.
