Spotted by Twitter user @bogorad22, the description states, “Achieved 256% to plan sell-thru at launch and exceeded 12M units in sales in first two weeks earning $850M+, secured additional 1.8B impressions through a WBD gaming 1st of its kind Fusion program, and broke all-time Twitch record for most peak concurrent viewers ever for a single player game with 1.3M views.”
Earlier this month, GamesIndustry.biz reported that Hogwarts Legacy was so successful that the Q1 2023 total sales for video games outsold Q1 2022, despite Q1 2022 having games like Elden Ring and Horzion: Forbidden West releases.

From the limited number of pics, I'd say it looks surprisingly good... what it looks in (slow) motion is going to be the most interesting part though.
And Hogwarts is 80Gb on XSX...7Gb
Meanwhile MW3 is 212Gb on XSX/PS5.
I'm impressed. I could definitely see myself playing this in handheld mode if I hadn't already bought it for xbox.
More than acceptable considering the archaic hardware in the switch imo.
Majority of gamers don't care about the difference. And most wouldn't even know.

Also, perhaps not the greatest choice of "reviewer" there, since he went all out with virtue signaling about not playing or speaking of this game before release bc Rowling.
Looks 2 gens behind but hey, at least it helps to optimize for PS5 and XSX

- Better than feared but rougher than expected
- Reduced graphical settings (no motion blur etc) over XBO
- General performance similar or worse than XBO
- 30 FPS target, reaches in non-stress areas but in stress battles can stay at 24~25 FPS
- Prone to 100, 200ms spikes which can cause lurches to low teen FPS
- Can take seconds for objects, world etc to load in
- Load times are slightly faster than XBO. Around 1 minute.
- Docked: 720p DRS, low seen 576p
- Handheld. 540p with possible DRS
- Texture quality, texture filtering, lighting, shadow maps notably reduced over XBO
- "Xbox 360 / PS3 generational like look"
- Some minor improvements have been made in patch 1.1 on things like hair.
- Areas have been cut/changed to reduce CPU usage
- character animation also reduced in cut-scenes / talking scenes
- All visual changes 'add up to a stark difference' in side by side with XBO
- Motion blur, SSO etc also removed.
- Distant characters animation, NPC count, animation quality all reduced as well
- Additional 1 minute load added to Hogmead and all stores in it, which were all seamless on all other platforms.
- Audio quality compressed, missing sound effects but not as bad as feared.
- Everything takes a hit but generally still playable.

I'll replay at some point. Just hoping they have patched it so you can skip the Merlin trials completion scene.
