You can tell as a generation later, Killzone Shadow Fall still holds up great.

Horizon ZD and Horizon FW look great, but KZ SF was a mixed bag. In the more cinematic sequences it looks good, but it gets bogged down in blah gameplay and graphics in between the grander set pieces.

I don't know man, it still looks pretty good to me visually for a launch game, could easily be recognized as a mid gen to end of gen title. Gameplay is another story lol.

My god,Its going to be over 100 GB with the launch patch for sure lol...looks amazing,one of my most anticipated game of early 2022.
 
Full disclosure, I’m not a member of any other forum, may have been on ign, Bungie and Forza’s/gt-planet but haven’t logged in in ages. I do lurk on others, mainly xboxera.
 
She still seems a lil too brightly lit, and seems to be the only character with dim lighting…still looking good though
They are doing that on purpose, that hero lighting or whatever they call it is an artistic choice, they want her to stand out from the background more etc. I'd like for them to tone it down myself, I think they've gone a little far with it.

I get it. It does seem a bit toned down from what it originally was but it also seems a little lacking on her in some areas. But it also seems like if assets are missing ambient occlusion.

Yah, that hero lighting or whatever was optional in the PC version of Zero Dawn. It was part of the Ultra setting for Ambient Occlusion. It was annoying.

It kind of makes it look like green/blue screen in movies when they go overboard with that technique which is silly because it needlessly takes away from the great work they've done visually.

Someone on neogaf put this comparison up, her face looks so much better in the new game. I'm guessing they scanned someone because she looks so much more natural. The

Is that the PS4 version of Zero Dawn?
I'm guessing so, I only played it on the pro so it was higher res than that through checkerboarding. It looks clearer than that when you play it so the pic isn't the most flattering for sure but the detail on the new face is much better than the original.

I agree. The detail on the face looks natural by comparison. They just need to tone down the baby fat a bit. It's my only pet peeve.
