Misterxmedia is Russian. The original story was based on some anonymous source's report to IGN Russia. What could be more reliable?
It all makes sense now!

This game has lost its power to generate hype at this point. Too bad too. It was probably one the most intriguing games I've seen in some time and the developers are some of the best in the business.
I wish, but no way this fall. I'd say Holiday 2015.Just drumming up exciting for a reveal at PS4. To be released this fall on PS4. Believe.
Speak for yourself. If this game is officially announced at E3 the hype will be through the roof. This game has lost its power to generate hype at this point. Too bad too. It was probably one the most intriguing games I've seen in some time and the developers are some of the best in the business.
My first sentence makes no sense. I feel mass shame.I wish, but no way this fall. I'd say Holiday 2015.
To IGN fans who have criticized the rest of the staff for this reporting, understand the decision to post this story was mine alone.
To Sony and Team ICO, who have had to address unexpected controversy on the eve of the year’s largest celebration of gaming, I apologize.

Lmfao. My first sentence makes no sense. I feel mass shame.
Interestingly, if I read it correctly, some IGN guy posted an article about TLG being cancelled due to a tweet by Sony Russia. And somehow IGN is to blame? All IGN did was skim some twitter accounts and took a news bite from an official account..... (that Sony Russia twitter account is legit right?).
Ahhhh..... if that's the case, then IGN should look into sources more. No matter how cruddy the internet is with wild rumours everywhere, IGN (along with other large sites) should dig into sources. I don't expect many anonymous insiders to have credibility, so I expect them to have no source material, but IGN Russia should.I heard that IGN Russia cited an unnamed/anonymous source, supposedly within Sony but who knows. They've been backpeddling and apologizing since.
If you can't trust IGN Russia, who can you trust...

So if anything, Sony can clear things up and IGN can then re-clarify the story, but blame the Sony Russia guy, not the IGN editor.
IGN has nothing to apologize about.
No different than if Microsoft Europe said Crackdown 3 is cancelled. If news sites saw it and posted it on their sties, nothing wrong with that. That's the point of twitter. Endless people gabbing in hopes everyone from 2 year olds to 102 year olds see it. If CD 3 isn't cancelled, then blame the guy in charge MS Europe's twitter for posting fake news.
The Last Guardian is dead no matter what some tweeter says. This game will be a revived project in 2030 after the nuclear holocaust as already ended us.
They would get more flack if they release it and it's crap. They can't cancel The Last Guardian at this point. I mean really? They'd get so much flack for it.

Then it's I said, The Last Guardian is dead no matter what some tweeter says. The Last Guardian is dead until it is either released or at the bare minimum when Sony decides to finally stop hiding the game from us.Nope. Apparently in full development, the new CEO of SCEA said so.
Then I hope the day where it is no longer dead is today! Then it's I said, The Last Guardian is dead no matter what some tweeter says. The Last Guardian is dead until it is either released or at the bare minimum when Sony decides to finally stop hiding the game from us.
