Yes and no. One on hand, it's not the greatest launch line-up for a trio of consoles. Nothing really stands out as something inherently unique to the console, but at the same time, games like Ryse and Forza 5 will show what a X1 can do right from the gate. So exciting stuff there. Plus, I really am looking forward to Killer Instinct and Crimson Dragon. Those are the type of unique games I dig.

Yes because these consoles are not even close to on par with even mid range PC's. Xbox 360 was def on par with mid-high range PC's when it came out. Even Xbox 1 was comparable to a mid range PC when it launched.

I guess madden 05, kameo, and pdz on the 360 were much better, or better yet, genji (giant crab!), untold legends, and resistance were much better

I'm excited about the next generation but not for this year. I remember the 360 launch and the terrible hardware issues as well as the PS3 launch and the dearth of games (Resistance and Motorstorm, PS3 is brown etc.). For that reason I'm still a bit cautious about the next generation. I still don't know which new console I want and my opinion seems to change every day.

All I can say is that right now I'm still content with the games on the PS3 and I am looking forward to finishing my backlog. I also have a decent gaming PC so maybe next gen can wait a good year for me, or not. Who knows?

Morrowind came out 7+ months after Xbox launch. I suppose that was something nice to look forward to but this 'launch window' concept is a little drawn out now if it includes games that come out 7 months later. Bethesda have commented about the challenges of releasing an RPG with a console; I doubt they'll do it again.

Launch window= 6 to 8 months. Now shaddap and look at your plate!

I'm not. I think the animations I've seen thus far are awful. That Lebron spot from E3 was turbul.

Third party titles are carrying the next gen's launch. I'm personally excited for Dead Rising, but pre-orders show 3rd party titles getting a lot of attention.

The Fitness announcement was enormous to me. Could be a system seller.
