Killzone: Shadow Fall Thread

Has anyone tried the co-op mode yet? I'm downloading it now and to be honest my expectations are really low even though it took over 7 months to release. A little more time and GG could have developed a full retail title.
 
It is something I have looked forward to but the delay as you say has really put me out of the mood to play, especially since I'm playing other games right now.

Yeah because the ONLY variable in developing a game is time spent doing so?
 
Well, it took over 7 months but the verdict for the co-op mode isn't all that good. It takes a lot of teamwork which is difficult with random players. GG tried to make it sort of like a game of domination but the spawning areas are way to close to the objectives so you are quickly overwhelmed and I don't like how weapons are limited at first with no real incentive to keep playing to eventually unlock more weapons. I know they want to make the classes have purpose but (for example) of only giving the tactician a handgun to survive sucks, I know he can place turrets but those are not the most reliable means to defend yourself. The medic is also offensively useless and I think many feel the same way as the assault class is quickly chosen by players in the matches I've played. Overall I have to say the wait was not worth it. This game is now trade bait for my next purchase.
 
You can play with me Buster before you throw in the towel? The most powerful class is the Marksmen if you want raw damage output. The medic is amazing, you get a continual self heal and the LS12 at the hip is incredible.

I played a game with Freeza, he ignored me though.

A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Sony Computer Entertainment America alleging consumers were misled by the company's claims that the PlayStation 4-exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall features 1080p graphics in its multiplayer mode, which came into question earlier this year.

The suit, filed by a gamer by the name of Douglas Ladore in U.S. District Court in California yesterday, claims that gamers "quickly noticed and complained that Killzone's multiplayer graphics were blurry to the point of distraction." This is despite Sony having claimed the game would offer "'1080p' multiplayer graphics, a crowning achievement in the video game industry," and having even featured the 1080p figure on the game's box.

Ladore is seeking to prevent Sony from continuing to advertise the game as being 1080p, and is looking for damages--to the tune of more than $5 million.

A Digital Foundry report earlier this year revealed that the game uses technical trickery--a technique called temporal reprojection--to achieve its resolution. The lawsuit says this is meant to provide "'subjectively similar' results" to full 1080p, but that it just isn't the same.

Also, I see this getting tossed as Temporal reprojection done right is for all intense and purpose indistinguishable from native 1080P.

Just give the guy the $50 back or check to see how much he has played if. If he truly did notice right away and was so disgusted he should have very little play time.

His claim is only half true though. SP is native 1080P. It is MP that this technique is used in.

It really is a problem here. Get rich quick, baby. Who sat around thinking they incurred damages from this? Hopefully it will be thrown out of court and Mr. Suit pants gets hammered with the legal costs.

Hmmm, California, lol. Should have known! Love that the game was so blurry, it was a distraction! That's so laughable it's unreal. I doubt he even knew until the DF article anyway.

Now we see the cost of the 1080p hysteria. How ever did this guy play games before?

It's as lame as the Subway bread shinking half and inch when cooked- It's NOT A FOOT LONG! These things are negligible. I doubt his purchase was based no the MP resolution, as much as I doubt that last half inch affected anyone. People need to exercise some restraint. This outrage culture is so destructive.
 
finally finished the game, couldnt care less about the story lol dont even know what the ending was about.. who was the traitor, why did that guy kill me..

the graphics were hit and miss but the parts that hit.. HIT HARD, looked incredible at times. i played every KZ to date and unfortunately as always the visuals is the only appeal

Yeah, some parts of KZ look amazing.

lol that gif looks like a poster for all the criticism the older KZ games got, crappy browns everywhere and debris piles every 10 feet.
