My Madden NFL 15 Gameplay (Bills vs. Dolphins):

Very impressed with the game. Graphics are so crisp and clear. The pictures and videos don't do the game justice -- you have to see it in person. Big improvements in in-game lighting too.

Gameplay feels solid. The players have more weight -- feels like you are actually controlling people with weight instead of a typical Madden game. You also can't quickly shift/move to the left (or right) after going the opposite direction. Players finally stop and then move.

Xbox One trigger rumble feature to try and make players jump is pretty good too.

Overall, a pretty huge jump from Madden NFL 25. Truly feels like the start of the XB1/PS4 gen of Madden and not a continuation of 360/PS3.

Is it true you cannot earn ultimate team coins through game play anymore meaning all packs must be purchased for cash?

I honestly don't know since I was never interested in the mode. I would hope not since that would be pretty bad.

I'm done with EA games, except PvZ:GW (PopCap stay healthy) for awhile. This is doing nothing to change my mind.

Nice impressions. How do you think the running game is compared to Madden 25? It looks even harder.

No offense too, but you gotta squish those fish! ;)

It looks great. And I'm glad there seems to be more weight to the players.
My only complaint is that the animations, while good, are way too fast still. It's like watching a video at 10X speed. You can't really appreciate how good the animations are.

I guess that may just have to be the trade-off of having either smooth animations or total control. Hopefully the tech towards animations improves with each iteration.

Took a few glances at my son playing and it looks current gen where the last madden looked like crap.
My son will decide if he will pick up or cancel his pre-order and get Destiny

The running game is definitely harder. Like I said in the video, the players actually stop to go in another direction so that makes the game feel different from the previous Maddens.

EA has been giving all of the review sites the PS4 version to review and not the Xbone version. In the past this behavior has been a sign from them (i.e. BF4). Any word on what's the version to get? I know EA Sports is not known for pushing hardware.

I think im actually going to get this on day 1. I've always waited in the past to pick up Madden at a discount, but F it. Im a huge football fan, and this years title seems to be getting raves in the game play department, so off I go to amazon to pre-order.

Yeah it seems like CJ should be able to bust open more of those runs. Much of the time it looks like you're running into a wall of defensive line.

I'm kind of torn. I just bought Maddeen 25 earlier this month (impulse buy). The graphics and play calling look much improved though.

I watched Soda Jack streaming it for a little bit, graphically it looked really good.
I don't understand the plays and moves and all that though.

Curious to see which version turns out better.

The IGN review shows footage from both....It was difficult to see any difference. Still, waiting on something.....more official.

Willing to bet it just be like Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition. No real differences so its preference on controller/service/friends IMO.

I played it quite a bit yesterday and it looked great and was very smooth also. Didn't see any frame rate drops or anything.

The majority of EA Sports games have been basically the same on PS4 & XB1 so I would expect things to be the same for Madden 15.

I subbed to EA Access to be able to try this game out. I'm going to get it. It's good. Narrated game highlights at the halftime show made me smile

Actually enjoyed preview more than I thought. You can earn gold coins for MUT by playing MUT but the payout rate definitely pushes gamers who want to be competitive towards cash buys. Graphics look good and the cameras are refreshingly good. Best Madden presentation I've seen to date. QBs stats seem to matter more than ever as well, you can really see the difference between a top passer and an average one. Guys will often miss their marks.. In years past there was almost no difference. Jury is still out on running, its been hard so far but the rush block seems more realistic and lanes developing. Defense took a big makeover, almost to the point it seems OP just in the few games I got to play. Worried that blitzing is going to be a easily abused. Zone is also better than years past. Animations and the physics engine are still not peak. Collision physics lead to some odd situations and animation pops. Most distracting when running in traffic and the physics don't react as you expect. Also, no true gang tackling. MUT was actually enjoyable although too much of a cesspool if players and cash commitment for me to care much about that mode. Played a game in the rain and uniforms got nicely dirtied. Didn't notice much field wear but it was short game so could be reason.

It is good enough to make me consider a purchase and I pretty much wrote the series off in 12 and switched to soccer.

I'm not a big enough football fan to buy Madden games. But with the new EA Access I'll just goof around with last year's Madden.

So how is Madden 15 compared to last year's game?

Much better? Or the usual (and assumed) "tiny upgrades vs last year".

My uncle does some work with EA every so often (once a month) and every lunch time at their offices the store has games for $20. The next time he goes for a meeting ext I will ask him to pick it up.

From what im reading in early reviews, the X1/PS4 versions are identical, so im gonna give the X1 some love with this one. Im really liking what im hearing about the game, especially in terms of the defense. Seems to be the best Madden has been in a while by all accounts. Im looking forward to putting in some time with this one.
