So far I've landed on two planets and both of them were pretty big with alot exploring involved. I still have a ton of stuff to do on Eos with missions still opening up on that planet. The other planet was an angara home planet overtaken by vegetation. I think I just scratched the surface on that one.

I just got to that planet but haven't explored any yet. I took off to the mission you get when you land.
The combat in this game is fantastic, as good as any open world RPG I've played. Charge with almost no cooldowns is crazy fun.
The UI however, is absolutely terrible. I'm on PC playing with kb/m so switching combat profiles is actually easy (F1-F4) but making profiles is so frustratingly over complicated that I can barely be bothered.

That's not a trade I'd agree with. I played the alpha and beta and left completely underwhelmed. Another ubisoft game with a massive open world and nothing very fun to do in it.
Now with this game, I'm not quite hating what I've played. We all know the faults by now, but I'm on a net positive enjoyment, so far. I've seen some words about it but I would definitely not call this the second no mans sky.

So I finally got to play it. First, why don't you let us save the game like previous game?
But the serious stuff. It true, the characters are seriously ugly. I can understands ugly charcters in games due to lack of technology or good artists, & I am they type that do NOT want charctrs to looks like male model or girl band, but its pretty obvious they purposely make the characters ugly, both NPC as well as in character creation. A few are okayish, but most are bad.
ENd up, I just use the default male Rayder
As far as non character visuals. Its okayish, but not overly impressive. It wasn't bad, though I expect more , consider the last game look pretty good on last gen machine.
Gameplay wise, I like the more open area (at least the first staring one), but I am dissapointed I cannot control teammates, which I did ALL the time in prevous game, mostly to combo. The jump & dash is pretty cool though.
Not feeling the new enemies though.

Why oh why did they get rid of codex voice?
I remember in an interview one of the dev's said it got too big so the decided not to do voice recording for it.
I'm enjoying it so far. The combat is fun especially as I open more skills, though the soft cover system blows and i miss the team power wheel. I really am enjoying the sense of exploration. Only ghastly thing I've seen so far is the new look of the Onmi-Tool.
And i came across this glitch. Minor spoiler i suppose.
So..how's the story? I play ME mostly for the story and character dynamics. I enjoyed the characters and stories they added to the ME universe but so far I've heard nothing on that. I'm not asking for spoilers just asking for impressions.

I am too early to judge. So far thae gameplay & story too human centric for my liking.
The multiplayer is really borked. It can find games for 1 player or it can find games for 3 players. It cannot find a game if you have two players in the lobby and start a search. They need to fix this quickly.
Story seems to be multi-layered and am not sure you can judge it till you finish up those layers.
I had a problem with this at first but if you go to the map there will be places you can hover over and it will tell you what the mission is. I don't know if that's the issue you're having or not.
I'm having a hard time with the monoliths on the frozen planet.
The biggest dissappointment (after looking past the animiation & outdated & often ugly models) is taht you cannot control your teammates. SO I cannot make my own team combo like I used to in previous game. I used to always pick T.Soni & as we work well with combos.
Another thing I had with teh game, which isn't the game fault, is I miss Shepard & his/her teammates.
Now for the good part. I am starting to warm up the game, & its a decent mass effect game. The best part is area are more opened, like Dragon age, whereby previous game were more corridor-ry (move one set area to another)

They change places. early on Peebee is on the Ark part, forget the name. Same place as SAM node basically. Suvi... Absolutely no idea.
I found a nice perk from the cryo pods that shows cache locations near forward stations. They seem to give some stuff too, you get like 10-12 items per cach and a mixture of crafting materials, mods, Augs and weapons...not just low level crap either, I got a sticky grenade weapon aug. and a few tier 3 weapons.

I got to that as well. It's a great starter one to get alright. Some of the caches on Eos I'm not able to jump up to though. Did you manage to get them all?
