Metro Redux. You may have heard of it... even though you probably shouldn't have!

We could issue a 'We do not comment on rumour and speculation' statement and pretend this never happened. They're pretty boring to read. They're also pretty boring to write.

So we're going to comment on rumour and speculation instead.

Is Metro Redux real?

Yes. We never made any secret of 4A's desire to bring Metro to the latest generation of console hardware.

But what you saw leaked was taken from an old, internal planning presentation, containing some nuggets of truth but a lot of hypothetical ideas and place holder material.

(Eagle eyed fans will recognize the artwork on the 'packshot' as the art from the original Russian edition of the Metro 2033 novel. And that 'logo' is just the old Metro 2033 logo with the '2033' scrubbed out and 'Redux' added... )

As you can see, we're not quite ready to reveal 4A Games' first next-gen console project, but we will be making an announcement this side of E3.

And we think the reality is a lot more exciting than the out-dated material that got leaked shows, and we're itching to share it with you. Just not yet.​

Sweet. I beat 2033 not too long ago and never got around to Last Light. Glad I waited.
 
Metro 2033 and Last Light were both awesome games, I just played and beat them a couple months ago.

But I don't know if I'd be interested in a next gen version. I'd be more interested in seeing what game thru plan on coming out with next.
 
Going to double dip for a great developer and an awesome game.
 
So they're porting it to PS4/Xbox One? Last Light or 2033? I beat Last Light from PS+ and it's pretty good.
 
If the jump looks anything like TR: DE did on the PS4 / Xbox One vs last gen, it's a success IMO.
 
Both games are awesome. Have them on PC so this version doesn't do me any good, but will be nice for those that haven't played them.

I think it'll look fine on the consoles. I am probably like the only person that didn't think the game looked THAT good. It wasn't that demanding on hardware either, at least on mine.

I've been wanting all Crysis games, including Warhead, to be redone on consoles more than any other game.
 
Nice. So now we get PC-quality graphics on a home console. I am loving the developer support for these next gen consoles.
 
Both games were great. 2033 ran bad though due to bugs and bad optimization. Last Light was a great improvement.

Yea LL was less demanding than 2033 by alot. 2033 ran like crap even though my rig can run it at max settings at over 60fps, LL runs much better.

Tombraider was the most demanding game and now Metro LL is the most demanding game because it's coming to PS4. lol You are funny Valliance.

LMAO. Tomb Raider was one of best looking games I've seen that didn't require much horse power.
