I don't have either $30 demo.
I was basing that comment off of Troublegum's DF link.
I'm on my phone though. Tell me if you see something different.
Actually scratch that. I caved and bought the $30 demo on PS4 last night.
If this is the direction Phantom Pain will take, then sign me up. The game is seriously fun, beautiful and cool.
I really love the action now. The slow motion effects are a nice touch too.

The prologue to Phantom Pain should have been $20 if you bought digitally. Yeah the game is fun, replaying Snake Eater now.
Snake Eater was to me the best of the series, amazing game.
I bought Snake Eater when it went on sale on XBLA about 5 or 6 months ago. Its still an absolutely amazing game in all aspects. It is to this point the best Metal Gear game to me. It was my favorite game on the PS2, and it still holds up to this day.
I also bought Peacewalker, which is really good as well. I got distracted from playing it by other games, but I really want to get back into it.

Hmm I could have sworn they said the digital version would be $10 cheaper, but I guess not that sucks. I spent $30 as well but bought the physical copy.
I agree, amazing game, story, humor. The bosses were awesome as well. Glad Phantom Pain is a continuation of 3 and not 4. I did love 4 as well though.
Oh please let this be a representation of how The Phantom Pain is going to turn out. So sooooo well done.
You know what...I'm OK with David Hayter's departure from the series. It's not that I've fallen in love with Kiefer but God, Hayter's voice was getting rough in Peace Walker and MGS4.
So can anyone tell me if the game is "that much better" because its in 1080p on the 4, versus 720p on the XBO? Or is it the same experience, regardless?
Does the digital version require an online connection? Everytime I start a game, it connect to a server. Is this just for stats or something?
This should answer your question. If you don't mind the blurrier version, then it won't take away from the experience, I guess. Especially apparent around the 4:00 mark where the towers look like a blurry mess while the PS4 looks much better.
Seriously?! The 4:00 Mark? LOL. You guys are flat out crazy with this resolution thing. Sony gamers play numbers. XBO gamers actually play games. That's my take on things anyway. The petty reasons some will go to downplay one version versus another. Lol. Seriously!? Is it not the same game? I dunno. I guess I'll never understand it. Both looked great with equal amount of bells and whistles. I'm not a MGS fan either way but I wouldn't knock anyone for buying either version. That's just me...
The fact MGS is a port may be the reason it's at 720p.
I honestly don't see any real difference besides a little more sharpness on Ps4. It ain't big deal IMO and certainly not worth a thread.

Hate to say it yet again but same s*** last gen when xbox gamers were doing the same thing for every multiplat game. I thought it was silly last gen just like it is this gen, but hey what comes around goes around.
Thats not saying much then. All thats coming around is more stupidity. Damned shame if you ask me. Plus, its not going to last long. So those touting the resolutions differences will eventually eat their words. If I were on the opposite side of the fence, Id relax about all this nonsense with resolutions being the definitive edge and end all about hardware specs. Im not even sure how all this got out of hand the way it has, to think about it. 720p, 900p, 1080p etc. Within just over a year, these little numbers are now supposed to be the beacon of superior/inferior hardware. You'd think such definitions would amount to much more than just.......that. I dunno. Thats not really an edge. Not by my definition. It'd be a bit more pronounced than mere resolutions. Thats all Im saying...
I think it's hilarious we're still having these conversations. I turn my Xbox One on and my PS4 on every day and i'm equally amazed with both. I'm even amazed with my Wii U. There's no better time to be a gamer. I don't care about the pissing match even if it seems like i do.
It's all in good fun to me. At the end of the day it doesn't matter. Never did and never will. My X1 and PS4 sit side by side one another and they get along just fine. I don't think this console war stuff is real. Sometimes i wonder why people put more effort into a fictional war than they do playing games.

But somehow I doubt you were telling your fellow xbox fans that when they were doing the same thing last gen. I don't care either way, I enjoyed my 360 last gen I'm enjoying my PS4 this gen. Now Xbox fans are whining for doing the same thing they did last gen, I do agree its stupid.
We haven't seen eye to eye lately but i think we can both agree on that. I've been enjoying the Xbox brand more in recent years but i have to call it like i see it. Xbox fans absolutely ripped into PS fans last gen in every conceivable way. So if you can dish it you better be ready to take it this gen.
