Microsoft at Gamescom, Aug 22 - 26

The announce today about PUBG is that MS is now publishing the game on Xbox One. Aka, funding development.

This is the statement I think is maybe a point of contention:

We are excited to continue and further strengthen our partnership with Microsoft and are super excited to meet the Xbox community. We will be launching exclusively on Xbox One in the Xbox Game Preview program later this year and we can’t wait to see all the Xbox fans on the battlefield.

Maybe the wording is weird?

They've been saying launch exclusive since E3, I doubt it's a true exclusive. It may be a longer period of exclusivity etc but as others have pointed out Tomb Raider was published by MS as well and still released on PS4.

I wish they would enhance Ori as well, that's the only exclusive other than maybe Halo Wars 2 I plan on buying.

I know Europe deserves a big games show but this is too close to E3 to see a ton of brand new stuff, this "conference" seems like a total waste of time.

I wasnt expecting much myself. PUBR is a pretty big announcement even if timed. It's the biggest game of the year.

They've created a application to help get all of your stuff ready to make the transfer to Xbox One X.

Never cared for WoT

I was really interested in it and happy when it came to PS4, then I played it and I just couldn't get into it. I always liked tanks in the Battlefield games and was hoping it would feel like that but it didn't.

Xbox has a pretty stacked 2018 mainly due to delays. Crackdown, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, Forza Horizon 3 (likely) and maybe another Halo.

I don't think Halo 6 is coming next year. They're still chipping away pretty hard at Halo 5.
