What’s going on with the console versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator? The game has been out on PC since last summer, but we still don’t have a release date for the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One versions. Microsoft has vaguely promised a spring/summer release on XSX and the Xbox One is a complete question mark at this point. Well, there may be some information coming soon, as Microsoft Flight Simulator has been rated by the European PEGI rating board for Xbox One.

Still no Series X date/confirmation?

On their development roadmap, they have a vague "trailer" mentioned for June 10th.

They've been really quiet, which means either announced date soon or another delay. Unfortunately this team does have a habit of promising big things and just sort of going quiet as they blow past the release date. They promised major avionics updates in February, then the patch comes and there's no mention of it.

It wouldn't surprise me if they are planning a release soon or a bigger delay.

You have landing challenges....you have team flights you can do with your friends. You can turn off the simulation aspects entirely and just fly like an arcade game.

Or......you can just leave your plane entirely via the camera system and take pictures/a tour of the world.

As Hedon mentioned you can actually do quite a lot.

Having said that....the game is a sim first and foremost and a game second.

I consider it the best looking in both categories.

It is great looking, no question about that
