but what if their subscribers hate Facebook?Didn't MS say they were going to assist in moving over the existing partner accounts (like Ninja) to Facebook gaming?

I'm not
This has little to do with intergrating Facebook inside of the Xbox. It is about putting a click to play button in front of millions of potential IG and Facebook users for Xcloud. Microsoft could not do that kind of deal with Twtich or Youtube because of the competing (or rumored) game streaming services on those platforms.
So I didn't see any posts for either story when I posted this. Mods can do away with it if you want. Still, nobody seems to be considering there's definitely an Oculus side to one, and maybe even both of these stories.
This is big news to me, as I think this has underlying Oculus partnership overtones, as Facebook owns Oculus.
You did, and I missed it.I did.
Mixer being Shut down
Yeah, they are dumping the app. They want you to use the built in Mixer tab going forward instead.unionvgf.com
And they are doing it with PC now officially over any single USC-C cable. I think this is pretty amazing. Of course, people are using Virtual Desktop to go wireless. It would be cool if they could get the same performance wirelessly through Xbox, but they could also just say wired support for Quest, and wireless support for Quest 2, which I would expect to be announced before Xbox would announce compatibility anyway.The quest is selling like Hotcakes and this could pull in the several million quest owners to Xbox if true with the ability to link to Xbox.
You did, and I missed it.
I personally have no love for Facebook, and I have stopped using the app, and probably won't start until next year or so. However, I do love my Oculus Quest so far. I've been really excited about a potential partnership for a while now, so this news of them having a gaming relationship with Xbox is very promising!
Question from someone who never streamed and never watch streamers;
Why would anyone start watching another platform? Are there things twitch doesn't do/do good enough?
Seems stupid to go up against the leader without any new features or tech, no? Just look at that Jay-Z abomination when trying to go up against spotify.
Again with this move Microsoft basically says they don't how you stream games from the console. When Microsoft closed down Grove streaming they announced a similar deal with Spotify. There is no big integration into the dashboard for Spotify.
