I really find it funny the government is playing this s*** up when they're tiring their best to hurt the fast foods places with the whole eat healthy campaign and tiring to ban sofa and tarns fats. Yeah we think them fast food workers we're tiring to put out of work desrive a higher wage.

Also gas is $1.19 in town here so it's sold in litres so it takes 4 to make one gallon so gas is f***ing $4.80 a god damn gallon.

People need to stop looking at just the dollar amount as that is pointless. They need to think what does an hour of work get me. An hour of work in Canada will get you pizza it's the same in the states. This whole $15 an hour will fix everyone issues is such made up BS.

I know your post was in jest, but in all seriousness, the "government" isn't trying to ban soda and they're not trying to "ban" trans fat, so they'res nothing unconstitutional going on.

Yeah I agree. Though I did hear about the governor (I think) of NYC banning soda of certain sizes being sold. I'm not sure all the details behind that though, so I don't have the full story.

It was the mayor of the city, but one guy is a far cry from the US government. Also, he wasn't banning soda itself, just banning certain sizes from being purchased in certain places. You could still buy soda, and you could still buy as much of it as you want. And either way, a judge halted it. Law prevailed.


It's just a r******d over exaggerated cry from the right. I was against that ban as well, but I'm level headed enough to know it wasn't a ban on soda, or even a ban on how much you drink. I hear so much crap coming from the right. I have a hard core conservative cousin that also claims the government is taking away our freedom of speech, yet he can't tell me how. Seriously?
I mean, the government "saying" we should eat healthy is bad.....how? People want free insurance, but they don't want the government to tell them how to live to not have to rely on insurance so much. It's a warped sense of ideals that we have.

If capitalism mostly work as you claim, then why blame it for the "insane results" some people get when in reality the blame should be placed on government and its ability to pick the winners and losers?

I previously referred to that "The Men Who Built America" show as an example. No doubt, those guys gave this country a lot of infrastructure, but their over competitiveness came at a price of bad working conditions.

You do make a good point though about Government micro-managing everything. Capitalism is flawed, but that is not that answer.
