MS Surface

I believe the T-Mobile 925's only have 16 gigs, which sucks. The budged 521's actually have an upgradeable SD slot, so I assumed all the more expensive models had the same.

Microsoft needs to buy Vimeo already and just give the big ol F U to Google. Google has been pulling some really shady s*** with Microsoft users, things I personally think border on anti-competitive behaviour.

Nokia 1020 finally arrive here east of the Rhine. Just in time for my contract renewal. The next time I go downtown, I will have a look, & if it pleases me, I will buy it.

Is Instagram stil not available?

Just read about the youtube problem, & its just a bad situation. Google playing hardball. I do not usually watch videos on my phone, due to my 200megabyte monthly bandwidth limit, but I can feel for others.

Thankfully there are 3rd party apps for it. Guess I need to downlaod a 3rd party apps for youtibe when I have a windows phone

Yeah Google are being dicks all around with WP users, I use MetroTube and have not had any problems but it is a paid app.
Instagram has not brought an official app to WP, but there is a couple unofficial community apps that apparently work well (I don't use Instagram).

Rumor going around about MS approaching HTC, Samsung and Heuwi to produce dual-booting android/WP8RT phones/tablets on exchange for wavering license fees and even money.

doesnt matter how many phone they comes out because they still havent put one with Sprint. Also all the App problems they are having as well. Shame because I really want one but I guess I will just get the Galaxy Note 3
What app problems are you talking about?
And Nokia might not have a phone on Sprint, but HTC has one.

Will you buy a HTC phone that they have for Sprint?
I've never used HTC so I don't know much about them, and when I got my phone HTC/Samsung wasn't on my carrier yet. From the people I know who have them they say they are happy with it, great speakers, and good support..better than samsung's at least.

we cant be talking about the same HTC phone because this phone is small and its not even HD and the specs are a joke.

Sorry to hear that NervusBreakdown.
Honestly, I feel pretty bad for Americans, and other countries that have such a restrictive, complicated mobile phone/carrier situation.

I just buy the phone I like and throw a SIM in it, I don't really need to consider anything else.

I love the concept of the Windows Phone OS. I hate that it doesn't work very well. Live Tiles that only update when you open them, problematic email server issues, and a useless calendar are just the tip of the iceberg. No major app developer will consider WP OS because there are just too few users to justify the costs.

I used WP for about a year and begrudgingly had to go back to iPhone due to these major issues. iPhone is boring, but it gets the job done.

Most the apps I have update without you needing to open them.

I think the lower-end models have expansion slots for SD cards.
Ah hmm, didn't know that :)

I never have issues with live tiles, unless it's something like the weather app and I don't open it up every 2 weeks or so. Some apps (not sure if all of them) will stop live tile updating if you don't access the app itself within a 2 week time period or something like that. Also on WP8, if you have the background task disabled for the app then it won't be able to update the live tile.

There is no official Instagram app for Windows Phone, but 3rd party app 6Tag is really good. I compared it feature by feature with the Instagram app on my wife's iPhone and they are very similar. 6Tag costs $1.49 for ad-free and an additional $1.49 to unlock the video function.

Metrotube is a fine YouTube app, but Google is hell bent on hosing Windows Phone users, so if you are wired in to Google's ecosystem to the point of no return, or you just don't want to use 3rd party apps, you should probably stick with Android or iPhone.

Is Instance still working? that was one of the first Instagram 3rd party apps WP got, I think it eventually allowed creation of accounts through the app to.

In all honesty, I like photoplay, not instagram big but it's WP's own style of app

Nokia%20Lumia%202520%20Cyan.JPG

We’re under two weeks away from learning all about what Nokia has in store for Windows Phone and Windows 8. On October 22nd, Nokia will announce a wide range of new devices in Abu Dhabi for both platforms. The two rumored devices that we're most excited about are the Lumia 1520 and 2520. The first is a “phablet” running Windows Phone 8 with a 1080p display, while the second is a tablet on Windows RT.

We haven’t seen a cyan device from Nokia in quite some time, but it looks like the tablet is going to bring it back.

On Twitter, evleaks shared an image of the upcoming Lumia 2520 (codename “Sirius”) tablet in cyan. It’s hard to tell much about the device in terms of dimensions or features from an image, but we at least know we’re getting one of our favorite colors back.

The Lumia 2520 is also expected to come out on Verizon for $499. Verizon is getting black and red, whether that’s both colors on one device or two different colors for two different devices isn’t certain at the moment. The Lumia 2520 will feature a 10.1 inch IPS screen running at 1080p. It will have a quad-core Qualcomm 8974 chipset to power Windows RT. We’re also expected the device to appear on AT&T and other international markets.

Also WP is 3 years old today.

Yep, Instance is still working. The appearance of 6Tag forced Instance to improve, actually, so the app is a lot better than it was when it first launched. I'm not sure if Instance ever solved the problem they were having where Instagram would force your account to "private" if you used a hashtag when posting in Instance. 6Tag apparently found some kind of workaround to that issue that Instagram is actually allowing them to exploit.

I'll have to check out Photoplay. Finally having a decent camera on my phone means that I take a lot more pictures now. I used to have a crappy HTC HD7 with the crappiest of crappy 5 megapixel cameras on it. 50% of the pictures I took with that thing would end up as a blurry smear. You have to try hard to take a bad picture with the Lumia 925.

I have the 920, and usually my bad photos are because my kids just won't stay still lol, but the nokia cameras are top notch

Went downtown just n0w, to buy some stuff, & also have a look at the new 1020. To be honest, it was a mix feeling.

I think MS need to seriously considered the possibility to make the interface looks a lot better. Its functional but rather dull, when compare to IPhones & Androids side by side. Its totally not attractive to younger people & students.

Also, the edges of the 1020 are a little sharp (the radii could be more), & I serious worry that it will make holes on my pants (no kidding). If there is a protective cover or case, things might be improve though. I also have the feeling the matt surface will attract a lot of dirt, & looks old very fast, especially in my hand.

I actually went home more interested in the galaxy S4!

So far the major thing going for me for 1020 is the camera.

Surprising, iphone 5C seems to be quite desirable. Saw a girl pestering her dad for one.

But I will think about cellphone again after coming back on my holiday. My current contract will expired in a few weeks time.

I recently got a lumia 822 on verizon and i am very happy with it. It was a little hard to get used to coming from android but now that i have played with it a bit i am comfortable with it. The app store could use more apps though, mainly games. The battery on my 822 absolutely destroyed the android phone i had, i can go at least 2 days without charging and thats with heavy use. The camera is very nice too on teh phone and i was able to add a 8gb sd card which it can go up to 64gb micro sd card.
