NFL Season Thread

Nope. Suck-ders still are the worst team in the NFL these days. The Jags are a tad better IMO. Suck-ders just looks good cause of Terriel Pryor. Now, I'm an OSU alumni, but even I have to say, any other given time, Pryor at best should be only handling the clip board, and not much else! He only got the go cause the Suck-ders O Line is SSSOOO BAD (worse than even the Jags IMO, hence why they are at the bottom), it's actually making Pryor look good cause of his mobility! But once they meet a team that can handle the Read Option....I think the Suck-ders will be in for it!

But still, Jags are not much better...If these teams meet, I won't even pick a winner. It could go either way in a game of total suck-fest!
If the black and yellow manage to pull off win Monday you will be eating some serious crow.

As I've said, the Squeelers can win, as the Bengals has a nasty habit of going "we are going to win!!! Let's take the foot off the gas". See the Bears, see Cowboys game and Dolphin games last year.

But then again, tell me, what you guys got other than that? Center injured, leaving holes for Geno and the gang to punch through. No running game ever (That's a first in MEMORY! Steelers always had a good running game no matter what), and get this, linebacker Larry Foote ruptured his biceps, and he is one of the key run stuffer and pass cover LB! This means our dual TE, Tyler and Germain are probably smiling their ears off right about now! Since AJ DEMANDS double teams, I'm seeing those two along with Gio having a field day against a depleted Pitt's defense and our offense tour the Bear's D apart in week one, and the Bears D these days are way better than the Squeelers.

I put up my reasons for Bengals winning Monday night, yours? Except praying the Bengals suffering and getting another bout of "We are winning! So we gonna act stupid" syndrome, what else do you got? And that's the thing. I always said the Squeelers has a chance, It's Any Given Sunday folks, but legitimate chance? As in beating the Bengals one on one straight up? Not this year folks! The Squeelers just doesn't have the personnel this year, maybe three years ago. And even then, last year, during the most critical game of them all, where one win, you are in the playoffs, and one lose, you are out of it, guess who won that game, in Heinz Field no less! Guess?

And that's the thing, these two teams HATES each other, Squeeler fans may squeal about how they will come out and play but the Bengals? They will more than be ready also, especially after getting slapped last week at Chicago. James Harrison again will be foaming at the mouth, ready to say hello to his fellow mates. Again, Squeelers D may keep them close somewhat in the first half, with the Bengals up by 2 TD's. But by the third? With an offense that gets no where and the D wearing down, I'm looking at the Bengals winning by at least 3 TD's with a final score of 32-17. All of this based on LEGITAMATE reasons, yours? Of course nothing is 100% in sports and my Bengals can and will fall asleep.....They did that more than once already. Any given sunday and all that. Or all you Squeeler fans got are "We got teh of the of teh...rings" or "you gonna eat crow!!!! AHHHHHHRGGGHHH!!!" If don't have anything legitimate to say, then stay out of the conversation!

My Cowboys looking good so far. Good D on both sides.

Some other great games today Giants/Broncos and SF/Seahawks. Looking forward to them.

The Jaguars will meet that awful O-Line with what is undoubtedly one of the worst defensive lines ever to play professional football. And the teams meet in 23 minutes from now - in a game that will be seen pretty much exclusively in Jacksonville and our designated secondary markets (sorry, Orlando) and possibly in Oakland if they aren't blacked out. Well, and probably on a perpetual loop in hell.

Walked into Trent Richardson today in the elevator in Baltimore. Nice guy.

Anyway,

KC looks real solid this year. When they get Charles going, they should definitely contend for a playoff spot.
I wouldn't be worried, Patriots fans. You were without most of your weapons. Brady's #1 was Edelman - that speaks for itself. Plus, it was terrible weather and NY is known to put up a good fight from time to time against NE. I was pretty confident they (NY) would cover the spread.

We have to talk about the Rams and the Lions. Those two teams look great (even though the Rams lost today). Once St. Louis figures out how to handle Daryl Richardson, they'll be a fun teach to watch and Reggie Bush has helped the Lions' offense tremendously. Stafford will pencil himself as an elite quarterback with Bush available in the backfield.

So far that game is pretty much expected. Oak leading cause Pryor is all over the place. No surprise there. Yeah, didn't watch the game that much....That game is pretty much what I expected, total suckfest if there ever was one. If luck breaks their way, Oak may get one of the few wins they will get this year....That's not saying much though.

Romo s*** the bed in the 4th. And that big drop by Dez. Had every chance to win that game.

True. It's hard being a cowboys' fan when they do dumb stuff like this. Supremely talented, no discipline. But at least the rest of the NFC east dropped the ball as well.

Jaguars are far and away the worst team in the NFL.

It's pretty much confirmed now. My Raiders weren't exactly stellar today and it wasn't even close. Should have been 26-3 if we can learn to stomp teams out.

I respect Henne though. Not a great QB ( decent arm) but he's scrappy and has no quit in him. Just has no weapons around him at all.

The Raiders are in a good position going into next year. They are one of the worst teams in the NFL right now because of all the dead money we're still paying s***heads like Warren Sapp.

Next year we'll be $60 million over the cap and will be big players in FA finally.

Dez got a bit of the Terrell Owen's humble pie.

"Throw me the ball damnit." " Oops, I just dropped a game changing pass didn't I?"

If your owners don't rip a page out of the ol' Mike Brown playbook that is........

I hate to say it, at the current rate this is going, I'm fully expecting the Suck-ders wasting their picks and their moneys on has beens and talents with loaded baggages...I hope not for the "Black Hole" fans sakes but I just get a little icky feeling here......

Wonder why? I'm looking at the Carson Palmer trade here.....How did THAT work out for you guys?...........

I liked Carson. But that whole thing came about because of an overbearing wanna-be GM head coach ( your current assistant, I don't even know what Hue does over there in Cincy) and a new owner that signed off on that terrible deal that wasted tons of cap space and valuable draft picks.

You obviously don't know much about Reggie McKenzie. He won't be overpaying has beens. The jury is still out on him and the coaching staff. But they have had to deal with the worst situation in the NFL (RIP Al Davis) and are doing a good job of righting the ship so far. As slow as the turnaround might appear from the outside.

If you watched Hark Knocks, Hue right now is the Running Back coach (and his big mouth almost got Gio Bernard into trouble during the first episode).

But yeah, that deal was horrible! Everyone can smell it but evidently the new owner and head coach desperately wanted a franchise QB and was willing to trade the farm for one...Carson is actually not a bad choice...But like the Bungles of old, who picked anyone who has talent, despite the baggage, Carson is LOADED with ??????! He obviously does not want to join a team in the rebuilding stage and the Raiders are just that....A team in the rebuilding stage. He only went cause he thought the Bungles will remain Bungles forever....Well, he was wrong and the Raiders was wrong! The Bungles became the Bengals once again after he left, and with your awesome gifts, we got AJ, Andy and Geno and the climb up out of the hell hole has finally begun.

Meanwhile, at the black hole....WEll, it was a black hole...CArson had no protection, no weapons to use...no nothing. And his attitude showed. He's now a Cardinal and I wish him luck during his waning years...But now you guys are still without a QB! (Even if Pryor improves, he's at best a good QB, not the best)

I certainly hope Reggie doesn't do it...But again, I just has an icky feeling...Maybe I've been a Bungles fan too long...And the only reason Mike Brown quit cause he was getting too old and decided finally he's not cut out to handle a football team (FINALLY! Thank God!). I hope Reggie ain't like that....But stil, I still can't shake the feeling of, "will any FA that mattered want to go to the Raider nation?" That was the situation we sometime faced during the Bungle days...We got the cash, a new facility in PB Stadium...But no one wanna come cause we are the "GULP" The Bungles....

I certainly hope that's not the case......But for some people, there just ain't enough cash to assuage facing down 4-12 seasons and going home on vacation after Dec. year after year.....

You're right. We don't have a franchise QB even though I love watching TP. And that is without a doubt the most important aspect for any team.

Still I'm personally glad Carson is gone despite liking him as a person and a player to a degree. As you know, he has a way of breaking your heart when it matters most.

This year for the Raiders is a learning experience. If they overachieve, great. Reggie will find his QB. Just a matter of time.

Henne's not a quitter, though to be fair, neither is Gabbert. They're just different flavors of suck - Gabbert has pretty much no pocket awareness at all and while he usually makes decent decisions, he gets erratic once he's faced pressure. Henne's more aware in the pocket but he's still liable to make complete boneheaded decisions on where to throw the ball. Well, not today, since until the Raiders went into the garbage time prevent, he threw pretty much everything five yards or less.

The Jags will look a little bette... well, less bad when Blackmon gets back from suspension and Marcedes Lewis gets healthy. Cecil Shorts is a pretty decent receiver but he's the only receiver at all the other teams need to worry about.

Of course, they still need a crapload of work on the DL, interior of the OL, plus corner and LB. Oh, and Bridgewater. :)

Your secondary was knocking Raider fools around. lol

I at least liked that the Jags D was playing mad.

Cyprian is a hitting machine. They did spend like five picks on secondary this draft, and Gratz at CB was out today with an injury but he's looked pretty solid too. It'll be a while before the dumpster fire is entirely extinguished and the rebuild can actually make progress.

Honestly, seahawks at home are difficult to mess but tonight turned nasty fast.

Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETE CARROLL!!!!!
