Thinking back on my 25+ years of Gaming I can honestly say Nintendo had the best games and was ultimately the best system.

I don't know if a thread lie this exist, but I would love for something like this to be Sticky topic so where we can give insight on games and what made them great. We know graphics cannot compare, but there was something magical about the gameplay.

I will start it off with one of my favorite racers for the system

R.C. Pro Am

There was something special about this title, the sound, controls and the pure gameplay.......

Liked the Snes better, have not played as long as you (have been gaming over 20 years), did try out the Nes, my neighbor did own one, did play the first super mario bros game, and believe there was a simpsons game that I once tried.

Maybe it is because the snes was the first console I owned that it have a such high place for me, super mario world was just unlike anything else on that time.
I completely skipped the generation that came after the snes since was sow many games on the snes to still enjoy, and what quality they had, my snes lasted at least 13-15 years before started getting trouble with it.

Nice to see a pro-Nintendo thread on the forums.

But I gotta say the ps2 was the greatest ever.

That was the 2nd console I got myself, was at first thinking on a dreamcast, but did go for a ps2.
SSX I think was one of the first games I bought, then was Metal Gear Solid 2 (I remember reading about it in a gaming magazine) and GTA 3 that was top of the world.

I'd say without a doubt Nintendo has the best history of games on any console.

SNES. Speaking of which I grabbed my old one from my parent's house when I went there for Thanksgiving. Need to buy a video cable for it though and hope it still works.

I guess we can all agree Nintendo had some of the best games.... From Nes to a more polished Super Nes and 64 and beyond. I would encourage people to post pics, videos experiences on what made the games fun and memorable ; timeless classics

Here's a game for those that know way before any Licensed Sports Video Game.
Pro Wrestling

Something special about this one.... Watching WWF (not WWE) as a kid we could only hope to play as Hulk Hogan, macho man, Ultimate Warrior etc. This was the closest we had at the time & was something that set the bar. Coming from Atari where it was just basic pixels grabbing each other, this was revolutionary at the time for graphics and gameplay. I encourage people to look up the history of this game and continue to study where and how far long these games have come.

Nice to see a pro-Nintendo thread on the forums.

I'd say it's easy to be pro-Nintendo when talking of their legacy consoles and only their legacy consoles.. Nowadays, people are divided over whether to love or hate Nintendo's latest consoles.

Then I gone post the Snes games that I remember best, a top 5:

1. Super Mario World, first snes game I ever played:

2. Donkey Kong County (played all 1-3):

3. Legend of Zelda: A link to the past (I used much time on that game):

4. King Arthur`s World:

5. Axelay:

I had a NES for about a year and a half before getting a Genesis. Looking back, NES had awful games, but lots of good ones. So many games available you really had to know how to weed out the bad ones like always making sure you don't touch an LJN or Acclaim game with a 10 ft pole. But Konami, Capcom and SNK games were great.

Genesis was a big step up. And SNES had great games too. Genesis for sports, SNES for fighting and action games. Both systems had good side and vertical shooters.

Never really had a fav NES game as many were junk, but for SNES: Contra 3, Axelay and SFII were tops. Aerobiz was fun too.

Snes all the way. Super mario world, donkey kong country, chrono trigger, super street fighter 4, etc, etc. I remember playing some stinkers though. Anyone remember pit fighter? Absolutely terrible.

I remember opening up my snes on christmas morning. My parents hid it behind the couch and made me look for it after all other gifts were opened up. Easily the best Cnristmas I ever had

Donkey Kong Country on SNES is the game that turned me on to gaming. SNES was the first console I ever owned and my parents got me and my brother a SNES bundled with DKC.

That's really tough, I'd probably say the original NES, but I had lots of fun with SNES. Then the N64, games like Mario 64 and Diddy Racing on Christmas morning. Man, all of them.

Guess I'm one of the few who favored N64. I never was a fan of 2D games so once they went 3D I was in love. Loved:

Mario 64,
Diddy Kong Racing(all time favorite racing game),
Golden eye,
Perfect Dark,
Super Smash Bros,
Ocarina of Time,
Banjo Kazooie,
Star Fox 64,
Rogue squadron,
Shadows of the Empire,
Jet Force Gemini,
Turok 1/2,
Goemon,
Space station silicon valley,
Bomberman 64,
NFL Blitz,
Buck Bumble(Yea I know)

I played/enjoyed more games on N64 than X360...

Oh, yeah, the SNES was the best 16 bit console ever made, but the N64 was my all time favorite Nintendo console. I still play a few of my favorites on it, from time to time.

Technically 3-d games were able to do much more, but that doesn't mean they were better.

Legend Of Zelda was the first game on Consoles that was Gold Plated Color and you could save, it was remarkable at the time and an innovation

Maybe it might not seem like much now, but 27 years ago this was revolutionary

I actually miss the old days when all games weren't on cds/dvds. It was exciting to me to see what the next system's physical games would look like.

I continue on the top list I made, just make it snes top 10 instead of 5:

6. Super Mario All stars :

7. Starfox:

8. Zombies ate my neighbors (Did not manage to complete the game, but still was fun, and best was co-op):

9.Earthworm Jim 2:

10.Super Mario World 2: Yoshi`s Island:

Other snes games that had a good time with:

-B.O.B
-Sim City
-Teenage mutant ninja turtles lost in time
-R-type
-Super Double Dragon
