I think the N64 was the console that got me hooked on gaming. Before it all I ever had was a SNES, but I was young and didn't really get that into it. The N64 changed everything though, due in no small part to Zelda and Mario64.

The music in that game remains fantastic :).
 
NES is best, SNES isn't as good as some say. Some of the games are the best, but not in number of good titles like Genesis, NES, ps2 and ps1.
 
I have looked over the entire catalog of games, and played many of the unknown games, snes is very very very low in the good game department compared to nes. Maybe you did that too and that is fine, I'll have to stick to NES. Literally like 5 to 1 in the good or worth while department, especially for unique and perhaps exclusives as well. Genesis got most the nes ports though.

If a gamer was stuck on a desert island and only had games to play to pass the time, I could see why they would want f zero, mario and rpgs to pass teh time, but if you want to play and have new experiences with quality titles eacy day, I'd say ps1, nes are the best choices for that.
