On Gamepass. It only takes a few hours to realize the game is just more of the same and that the whole " seasons change everything" was nothing but a bulls*** marketing ploy for an insignificant main new feature.
Game and seasons are awesome.

But not as promised. They said it could change when ever. Not every Thursday
It was my understanding that it was weekly from the start, and that you could customize weather seasons for custom races, which you can. I thought it was weekly since day one. In fact, I posted here when I found out long ago that seasons were weekly and controlled by the server how I hoped I could make it so that I didn't have snow, but that wasn't an option.

I wonder if seasons will be optional. I don't want to do winter.

Nope. Each season will last a week in order. Rinse and repeat.

For the first few hours you will get a taste of all the seasons. After that you will be connected to the server and it will be the exact same season for everyone at all times.

Darksiders series are never big hitter, but poor review score and frastrating checkpoint system probably make gamers stay away.

True Achievements releasing a top 20 chart each week

Each chart follows these key points:
  • The chart is compiled on a Monday morning, and takes gameplay data from the previous 7 days.
  • The data is taken from a huge pool of active Xbox gamers (well over half a million)
  • The gamers come from everywhere across the globe
  • The gamers are not just TrueAchievements users, it's a general cross section of Xbox gamers
  • We are not looking at achievement data — if someone plays a game and doesn't unlock anything, it still counts
  • We will not be releasing individual numbers for each game, just their chart positions

Xbox Gameplay Chart: November 26th - December 2nd, 2018

I'd be really curious what the percentages are (X relative to overall Xbox One sales). These statements about it "performing phenomenally" make me curious. It isn't the first time Mat has said something like that. Of course, Mat won't say what the actual numbers are, and neither will MS, but it does sound encouraging. And well deserved.

"Console warring on the internet is one of the dumber things people do." Ha, so true.

Anyhow, it's good to see quality getting rewarded.

I am curious as well simply because Xbox isn't beating PS4 anywhere this year, it may have had the most growth but some are ignoring that it also means they were starting from a lower place.

No real surprise, but PSVR is the best-selling VR headset so far, for 2018. These are likely to be pre-BF numbers, so the totals will bump up by the end of the year, although the rankings won't change.

1.3 million over the course of a year doesn't sound like all that much, though, tbh. It's still a small niche.

I expect PSVR to do gangbusters this holiday season (relatively speaking). There's so many good bundles out there.

UK chart for the week (physical only):

1 Super Smash Bros Ultimate
2 Red Dead Redemption 2
3. FIFA 19
4 Battlefield V
5 Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
New Entry 6 Just Cause 4
7 Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
8 Spyro Reignited Trilogy
9 Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu
10 Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle

Commentary:

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game released so far [and] the fastest-selling Smash Bros game in the franchise's UK history.

The other big new release this week is Just Cause 4. The Square Enix title debuts two spaces below where Just Cause 3 landed three years ago, and sales are down 61.5 per cent compared to the launch sales of that game. It's the slowest selling Just Cause game released so far, although if digital sales were included, it may have outsold the 2006 original.

Aren't we basically at a point where the numbers are getting worthless when they don't count digital sales?

According to a Sony executive...

"We’ve found that around one in five PlayStation 4s sold has been a PS4 Pro since it launched and around 40 percent of these have been from existing players upgrading so it’s definitely having a positive impact on the industry as well as on our players."

Aren't we basically at a point where the numbers are getting worthless when they don't count digital sales?

We've kind of been at that point for a couple of years now. But that's all the UK numbers have ever offered. They had plans to include digital in the near future. I'm not sure how those plans are coming along.

what a pouintless chart.

You know that chart has nothing to do with MS right?
Okay. I stand corrected. But nevertheless MS has not provide any consoles sales numbers since launched, but choose to put meaningless stats like hours played, how many zombies killed etc.

Sony do that stuff as well

Sony do that stuff as well
Okay. Though Sony does provide sale figures. Anyway, I am not laughing at MS for their missteps this gen, as an ex Xbox fan ( I am more pc gamer now) & we need MS , Nintendo & Sony all to to do well to prevent monopoly.

Them doing that is actually a good thing. It removed half the console war ammo.
