Series S is selling more because:
- Huge game releases this holiday
- XSX supply is restrained
- Casual appeal
- $100-$200 less than other consoles
- Microsoft confirmed they are producing more Series S consoles to sell due to different chip setup
- Game Pass

The XSX demand is still stronger otherwise why do we always see XSS in stock everywhere?
This suggests the supply is outpacing the demand otherwise it'd be just as sold out as the XSX.
I haven’t seen any xss at my bestbuy, but have seen three xsx and two ps5s when I went to the pickup something I ordered

Best buy is the only one that's even trying to sell them in stores right now, if you saw some there it's only because people didn't know they had them. Were they behind the cashier in the gaming area or out in the aisle for sale?

As Phil has stated, they are able to produce more Series S due to the chips used. They produce more, shipping more, getting more on store shelves AND rotating through that stock right away.

Not much competition, right, lol. It is only beating out the games that have had top spot for forever and don't get topped by anything...and massive F2P games, but sure, suddenly not competition anymore.
Oddly enough, half your "bigger Fish" list is included too...but hey, one rule for Xbox as long as it is negative, right.
It doesn't do well(even with a rental model) vs better games.
XSX is young and therefore doesn't have much competition so whola it's fairing better there.
