Just saw this and no I'm not mad, I already said they won November lol.
The thing you keep forgetting is that PlayStation 5 beat Xbox Series consoles in Nov, Dec 2020 and Jan, Feb, March, April, May, July, Aug, Sep, Oct of 2021. You think two months bolsters your incorrect assumption? go ahead, logic and facts don't back you up but those are never things you take into account when "forming an opinion" anyway.
I'd like to know how he comes to that assumption, the only game MS has had chart since 2019 is FH5, Gears 5 charted for a single month than was out of the top 20. He's been pushing for GP and sub services for a long time but never gives specifics.

But they aren't going to come out and say anything else though, are they.
They have like 400 3rd party games, all of which cost money. They have a number of day 1 3rd party games which they no doubt have to hand over a big chunk of cash to secure. Then they have like 25 dev studios all making games that are essentially funded by GP. Plus they just released FH5 and Halo. Then on top of that you have the stuff from perks. Then on top of that you have EA Play, it is EA, so that didn't come cheap. Then you have service running costs.
I'm not sayiing he is being untruthful, but he isn't going to come out and say, yeah! GP burns more than it makes and is unsustainable. Is he.
I think it helps that ssles are still healthy for their 1st party games, but if that is included then the service itself is bolstred by non-service related cash flow and not a true reflection of service performance.

Correct. But that is the case with Sony, MS or any other company. They are all going to spin things to come out looking successful.
In the case of Phil and MS, they have been focused on being more transparent lately. Heck, they have documentaries now on their own Red Ring of Death and how it cost them billions. Also opening talking about their mistakes and failures. Even Craig is being accepted by them.
I have to look at Phil as he is. He is a husband, father, just like us here. He is a gamer and he wants success. At the same time he isn’t going to want to come out and say Game Pass sucks. He said it’s doing really well. I don’t see a need to read into it. What matters is the value that gamers feel they are getting from Game Pass.

If we want to look at him as he is then you look at him in the context you know him. That is the head of a department in a multi billion company. He isn't like us here, he is the salesman we are the customers.
Facts are going by this and the 2 previous gens combined...Xbox is in more NA homes.

When asked in front of a camera or interview I’d hope so, you don’t want to lie, on record, not only to the public, fans, boss and most importantly to your stock holders/investors.
Two previous gens? they lost the last one by 6 million here and sold 20 million fewer consoles in NA than the 360 did while the PS4 sold 10 million more than the PS3 did the generation before. Xbox dropped in popularity pretty spectacularly last gen from where it was before.
The fact that you keep clinging to two generations ago but cut off the first one is crazy, it makes no sense to take a generation that started 16 years ago (15 for PS3) and basically ended 8 years ago into account now, there are no relevant trends that you can take into account from that long ago. I only bring up the PS2 vs Xbox gen to show you how silly your way of thinking is, none of that matters now being 20 years ago as you said or 8 years ago.
The only previous generation that matters now is the last one and PS4 continued to outsell Xbox One, game pass didn't change a thing and PlayStations lead continued to grow and that was while people could want into a store and buy a machine anytime they wanted to.
Your opinion is your opinion you are entitled to that but making claims about popularity based on your opinion makes no sense. Please don't bring up those "studies" again either, they were both jokes and the first one was completely incorrect, no way Xbox Series consoles had greater market share when PS5 was ahead of them in every NPD before the "study" was done.
Sony is clearly manufacturing more PS5 given the fact you can't get either console anywhere. All stock is just getting snapped up regardless of popularity.

No doubt and that's why I have said before it'll be a while before we know 100% how it's going to play out but saying something is more popular based on opinion with no recent trends or facts to back it up is silly.
Val also puts a big emphasis on holiday releases which can't do much for you when you are already selling every machine a few seconds after it goes on sale. You can't do better than 100% sales lol. The Series S is more available than anything right now and in some parts of the world you can walk right in and grab one off of a shelf, I've seen them at Costco here in So Cal a few times now as well, but I don't think that's the case for most retailers.

The numbers that you posted in the other vs thread show a difference of 6.08 million sales between the PS4 and X1 in North America last gen, how f***ing stupid do you have to be to post numbers then call someone a liar for using them in a discussion? lol.
The Xbox One also sold 20 million less consoles in North American than the 360 did while the PS4 sold 10 million more than the PS3, that is trending way down for Xbox in this region not up and they weren't playing catch up at the end either, PS4 was winning just about every NPD the entire time, it was rarely blowouts, but it was by a big enough margin to build a lead that was over 6 million.
Some people here are being a bit harsh. Remember it is not the truth the matters.
