I think it will move consoles. FPS gamers play on consoles exponentially more if memory serves. I can be remembering wrong though. I think Titanfall will be big on the Xbox One.

I agree it will move consoles. I just don't agree with some people that it will be a system seller that will move the Xbox One into first place.

Wow that's LOW

He said don't quote on that, and seems like he based this on blue's comment that Wii U pushed 57k in its first January. I expect this month's record to be a little lower than that, like Anderson's first guess at 30k. If they were any closer to Xbox One, I think Nintendo would have stated something.

where is this subsidized version of the X1 that was rumored, think MS needs to work on that pronto.

Disc-less SKU makes sense in that regard, it's not just about losing $20~30-expensive disc, but also saving a significant space in the console. Think of a nearly halved version of XB1.

Are you insinuating size is the reason for it's downfall?

the problem with titanfall is that its mp only, people dont realize that the majority of COD and Halo buyers never touch the multiplayer.

Could be reason for the delay on the 360. Many have been waiting for this title, but it will be interesting. The PC version isn't going to have any effect on the 360 or One version.
You and Plainview are most likely correct about PC. But a 1-2 week delay on the 360 version is not going to make most people go buy an X1. Just as the X1 releasing a week later did not make most people buy a PS4.

He's right though, that's all you read in these discussions.

It's not in stock anywhere around me, like I said in an earlier post the 32 closest gamestops to my house are out of stock of the PS4, I live in southern CA near LA so there are a lot of those stores and a lot of people who shop in them. When I talked to the manager at the store closest to me he said that they usually get between 6-15 in each shipment and they are gone no later than the following day, I'm not saying it's like that everywhere but I have a hard time believing that they are just sitting on shelves at many places unless they are areas with low populations.

MS tried to hijack the industry with DRM, Always online and Kinect gimmick, serves them well it's coming back to bite them in the arse. lol did they already imagine us in a sci-fi future where ur talking to ur toilet to flush the dump? future proof Kinect lol u can speak to it voice commands and all that bullcrap. People don't care about being able to issue voice commands most of us anyway

True. The perception is everything in the media and social aspect however. The company I work for, we announce products for our newer line first. It's a sh!thead tactic, but there's some tangible evidence it works.

Um was that a joke or not? lol anyways, serious answer, no. I'm saying that dropping BD disk is not simply about dropping disk but also about making drastically smaller, therefore cheaper console that everyone seems to be asking for. I wouldn't even say downfall myself as well.

Go to Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc.. They are everywhere (but GameStop evidently) where you live. I live in Northern Virginia, DC Metro area. Please do not try to tell me that where you live is any more critical than where I live.

Anecdotal.

I have a few friends I've made from retailers, given the amount of money I spend with them. There were places here that hadn't ordered PS4's because their second shipments weren't touched yet. Anecdotal. Everywhere I happen to be, whenever picking up a game or some surprises for the rugrats, I've seen both consoles. In Bulk. Costco has a mountain of PS4's and One's right now. Zip Code : 94591

I'm in Northern California, the Bay to be exact. So our markets are indentical ;)

Yeah I would say you are wrong and one console is clearly more supply constrained than the other.
Using the BB as an example. Notice it say, sold out ONLINE.

Hearing rumbles that the Wii U is in second place amongst the last-gen consoles sales and it's not the PS3 that is behind the Wii U...

Went to check on BB.com but the console is sold out there, even their higher priced bundles. It says no store availability. Walmart has 12 stores listed within 50 miles, 8 are sold out and 4 have them in stock so again where is all of this inventory you are talking about? I never said a word about where I live being more important than where you live, what's with your attitude problem? I said places with lower populations meaning that with a lower population you likely have lower demand, not meant as an insult to anyone.

HE'S BUTTHURT

I'm hoping that this is a one time correction now that the PS4 supply has started to recover in the US, because if MS loses out in the US in March with TF coming out, they're in trouble. It does indeed appear that despite what I thought was an impressive forward-looking vision, the Kinect is just too much of a weight around the console's neck. It just doesn't work well enough. They really need to consider a SKU without it. By most measures the launch lineup is more compelling on the XB1, so I can't imagine that it would be anything other than the Kinect dragging it down.

Yeah well when this:

Equals this:

...then I think it will be fair to say that the supply will then be equal. But it still is not. PS4 supply has gotten better but the only place that has a non-bundle PS4 in stock is Amazon. There isn't a single online site that DOESN'T have the Xbox One in stock. Unless Sony is only sending the PS4 to brick and mortar stores. Is that what you and Ceger are claiming?

npd has been around for how long, and they have never been an exact science. funny how people are now questioning them now.....

Just checked for Dubuque at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Gamestop. PS4 nowhere to be found (can't check BB online stock but I was there last week and nothing on the floor) but Xbox One in stock at all locations.
