I thought they said something in the past about once you were max rank you would get a Gold Battlepack for every Kit Service Star you got after that so you could obtain all knives, etc. I've gotten a number of those stars on Xbox One & still no Gold Battlepacks. Anybody on Xbox One max rank & obtaining them?

You mean max rank in what ever class your using?
 
It's people renting their servers though so it wouldn't be much different to what's going on now? I've had no problems for quite a while now just the occasional map taking a while to load all the bits (mainly in naval strike)

But i played some metro rush the other day and noticed there was 100 tickets instead of 75. I dunno if it's always been like that but it was much better then the usual 75, if they bumped it up to 150 and conquest tickets to 700 i would be even happier!

Metro Rush has always been more tickets. The maps that didn't have vehicles on them in Rush had more tickets in BF3, so that was copied over to BF4 to make it authentic. They had 100 tickets instead of 75 in BF3 on those maps.

No, I don't think. In the past in some post on Battlelog or the Control Room they said they were adding that once you were max rank (like how I'm 120 rank right now, you can't go higher over all currently) they were adding that once you got a Service Star per kit (Engineer, Assault, etc.) you would get a Gold Battlepack. There's no way to earn Gold Battlepacks once you're max rank, so when they did that you could get some of the knives you were missing, etc. You can only get gun Battlepacks when you're max rank, the grey colored ones & those only give you XP boosts & gun attachments.
 
devilsgrin_6 okay max rank, I never knew what the rank maxed out at, I've seen peeps as high as 117 when I've been playing. It would make sense though, how else are you to get all the unlockable items?
 
before the DLC i was 2.04 K/D and now i am 1.99 after it.. thanks to lag and open nature of the maps, does not suit a aggressive player :| game seems back to normal now though.. but my desire to play is minimal.
 
Some of the servers never fill back for me at night. That's what's frustrating. The Conquest games end up taking twice as long. They are already moderately long to begin with. Then the last week it seems like at night it will start to slowly trickle down. Then it's 24 vs. 24 instead of 32. Then the next game it's clear down to 16 vs. 16 or less at some point. I keep having to server hop.
 
Played 3 or 4 rounds of Conquest today and it was still smooth as butter.:) This is what it should have been like from the beginning.

Is there a filter setting in the server browser to show only the official servers and exclude the rented ones? I hate how the mixed them all together in BF3, made finding official servers a pain in the ass and the general population just played rented servers because it was the easiest thing to search for. Ruins the vanilla part of the game, I can't stand non-vanilla rules.

i dont know in game but if you search for servers on Battlelog you can filter it by official only

if you arent using battlelog to find servers then you should be
 
Now that they have improved the servers using the in game server browser finds me plenty of smooth running games.

Not trying to be rude here, but why in the hell should I be using a separate device from my Xbox One to browse for servers when the game itself has its own in-game server browser?

In the browsing settings there is a list to show, official, un-ranked, ranked and private servers. Just check official and that's all you'll get.

well you get more filtering options and you get more info on the servers (ping, current score etc)

I think it's stupid design by DICE to have a gamer go outside of their console to a PC, tablet, smartphone, etc, just to be able to have better server browser options. On that note, if I'm having to go to the PC to get better server options, I might as well be playing the game on the PC. This back and forth crap is just dumb design.

DICE should take a lesson from Apple, they made the iphone so that we didn't have to carry around separate devices to get to our music, email, phone, browse the Web, etc. Now we're needing to have a separate device from our console to access better server filter options? Ridiculous.
 
Pretty cool for rented servers but hopefully more people get into it, i could only find 3 last night that had a different rotation and only one that had more tickets.

Same here, only found 3 rented servers and they were all Metro/Locker, normal rules

Almost there myself. Skill at 382 and KDR at 1.79, and climbing :)

It's not easy though, because this game is so dependent on how well your team does.

I find that the case all too often, most games i try my hardest to be a team player and get at least 2000 over the next person in my team but still end up 8th or something overall it's crazy.

Faved a good server today 200% with Rogue, Golmud, Zavod, Locker and Metro pretty much my all my favorite maps!
 
So, have the "improved servers" fixed rubber banding?. I haven't played in a couple of weeks.
 
yeah but i am dying behind so many walls.

i guess i am bored of this game now, anytime i turn it on i am making stupid mistakes, getting annoyed just dying (through no fault of anything, fair deaths).. i have lost the will to try and do well in the game, and its just not fun when you are not doing well so i guess i am done with the game for now.

now that i think back, i had a similar problem with BF3 and the close quarters DLC brought me back.. then they released the best DLC ever in Aftermath. The Naval Striker maps are so terrible imo, no cover anywhere, huge open lands between flags etc. no tactics in the maps

Yeah I've been getting killed behind walls like crazy the past couple of nights myself. I don't know if its lag or what, but I've clearly been pretty far behind walls or structures so that I should not have been taking hits.

I also would have thought rental servers would have been more popular, I couldn't find a single one last night and, the ones I favored the night before were all gone too (single day rentals maybe?).
