So here is a curious thought...what does Crackdown, Quantum Break and Scalebound have in common that Microsoft wants to showcase at Gamescom?
We already know that Crackdown is using the Cloudgine middleware for destruction physics in the cloud,
Quantum Break has some uncanny graphics and I heard a rumour that the TV show at the end of each episode is based off your gameplay decisions and 'crunched' in the cloud,
and then there is Scalebound, to quote Ken's words - "I think when people really understand what it is we are building, they're gonna be shocked,". Is this game gonna be a massively gigantic open-world RPG ? Is this game a marriage between what PG do best - Monsters and what Microsoft do best - cloud?

I didn't see it but i can only imagine what happened, lol. Might as well just rename this thread "Xbox One: Greatness Now".
Hoping for some more coverage of the indie game Below. Haven't really heard anything about that game.
Hopefully some more coverage about Rare Replay. There's info saying that some games have been improved upon a bit.

That's really weird. You would think a console maker would want to attend every major gaming convention and be a celebrity.I just realise Sony is not going to Gamescom. Seriously. Considering here in Germany & most of Europe support them so much (There is an articles where they have 70 to over 90% market shares in most market in Continental Europe) , you thought they will at least show up, gove some freebies or something, for the fans here....
They probably feel that since they have Euorpe locked up, no point spending money to promote the brand and games.
Sony will be on the Gamescom show room floor showing off games.
They moved the conference to the Paris games show because E3 and Gamescom are too close together this year for them.
They are also doing conferences at TGS and holding another PS Experience this year.

You should create a super secret sub forum for cornerstone members and such to see ALL the stupid sh.t you have to remove from various threads.
Because otherwise you're just robbing us hard working folk that can't be online throughout the day the entertainment provided from such "discussions".

They never said that. The dev said maybe depending on factors. MS said Crackdown, Quantum Break, and Scale bound would be there.
Seems like this event is getting bigger and bigger each year. I like that the announcements are getting spread out a twee-bit. Its easy to lose some of the gems amongst all the trumpet blowing and flashing lights.
But still, I hate waiting!
I also wish there were bans on showing games more than a few years out. If I can sperm someone, they have the baby, and then sell it to a d-list celebrity all in the time between showcases of a game, you announced your game too early!

Red Dead Redemption 2 To Be Announced At Gamescom Next Month
"Red Dead Redemption still remains one of the most epic Action, Adventures games of all time. Developed by Rockstar it was one of the best action adventure game ever made with immensely amazing story line, great freedom to roam around, extraordinary gameplay and memorable characters.
Rumors first circulated that Red Dead Redemption 2 would be revealed at E3 2015 but nothing such happened, but with Gamescom around the corner there can be a big reaveal from the franchise as the rumors suggest and Rockstar could finally fulfill our wishes. As Sony isn't attending the conference all our eyes would be on the Microsoft event and according to insiders the game would be revealed at Microsoft's Press Conference with other titles such as Crackdown, Scalebound and Quantum Break have already been confirmed to be making an appearance.
Xbox head, Phill Spencer has also been exited for the event and has said that Microsoft Press Conference at Gamescom will be equally as important as it was in E3. Gamecom would be held from 5August to 9th August.

My cousin says RDR on 360 is his favorite game from last gen. He's gonna go nuts if it's revealed at Gamescom. The game was also the most requested backwards compatible game for X1 iirc.
