Is the game FUN?

Depends if you're into survival horror games or not. IMO, if Alien: Isolation is something like this, it will be fun. If you're the type who likes to be immersed into the game from the atmosphere and sounds, this game will be great for you. But just remember there's no weapons. This game made me tense and I had to put it down every 2 areas or so because it made me pretty nervous. It's best played in the dark with the sound up.

Thanks, I will give it a try. I have never played a survival horror game.

Game is super intense. I only played about 20 minutes or so last night. But my hands were so sweaty.

For those interested to see how the game is like, feel free to watch this stream right now.

[removed twitch feed because they had moved on to streaming a different game (BF4). - A.]

Started playing this last night, put a little over an hour into it. Loving just wandering around the asylum, taking in all the (gore) sights and exploring the darkened corridors. Atmosphere is fantastic. Creaks and groans from floor boards, doors etc.. The odd voice of an inmate coming from behind a wall or door.. There's a lot of character in the game.

Surround sound is a MUST. Had myself closed in my gaming room with no lights and the sound waaaaaay up. And it's just glorious.

Haven't "jumped" yet, but there have been some really good scare moments. Encountering/getting attacked for the first time was a hair-raising experience haha...

Seems great so far, can't wait to play more tonight.

I shat myself last night and had to turn this game off and pop in Ghosts to lighten the mood. Normally I’m good with horror games but this one is very intense. The music, the atmosphere and sudden appearances of crazy looking sh!t put a strain on my nerves. I’ll try and be brave and have another go at it soon. If the PS4 had a heartbeat sensor it would have broke while I played this.

Haha. I've heard that most people had to turn it off after the first 15 minutes or so. That seems to be the normal breaking point for some. :p

Im super pumped to play it more tonight. This is the first horror game in a long time that has me at the edge of my seat.

Finished it last night.
Hands down one of the best survival horror titles I've played. Loved every minute of it.

There are loads of good unsettling moments and as a whole, the premise and execution is just so well done. It's completely unnerving in sections. Most horror titles get the odd jump/startle out of you, but Outlast has a genuine feeling of alarm and distress for your character. I believed the lead character was in fear for his life and as a result, you immerse yourself in the game on a much deeper level.

Overall, superb little title. Glad I played it. Would happily have paid money for it.

Now, just debating an Insane play-through haha..

Outlasted outlast today!, good game, anyone else want to do a condemned and rip a locker door off and smash it over there heads?.
also not a fan of man parts on show in it.
