Looks quite a bit better. How did I know you would end up with the Puget systems GPU brace? lol

There really were no other options. Everything else either looked too flimsy or like something I could construct myself out of cardboard.
Then there was that powerjack thing which just looked too dumb for my tastes.

The only problem I have with the Puget brace is that I don't like the company branding on the side. Might hit it with a sandblaster down the line so I can have a nice pure glassy finish.

Anyone own a G-Sync monitor? Was thinking of buying one but they are definitely a little pricey.

If you do get one get the ASUS ROG PG27QA.
It is a bit on the pricey side if you can find one, but MY GOD is it an amazing monitor! :bang::bow:

Today is my birthday and as a present to myself I went and bought one of these monitors as well as a brand new EVGA (I'm a fanboy) 980ti to run it well.

ROTTR looks simply amazing, just about everything maxed and I get a real solid 60+ fps and even if it goes much higher (corridors) or lower (forest areas) It doesn't feel like it. Sure, I paid a premium price ($660 @ Microcenter) but you only turn 44 once so why the hell not, right?

ASUS 27"MX279H Full HD Monitor

Microtel PC packing 2TB, 16GB DDR3, i7-4790K with an GTX970. Added on some SSD for faster boot times also. This is my music studio and new gaming system gentleman. I plan on putting on my Xbox One to the left of my Keyboard since I have 2 HDMI ports. This is where I'll spend my life away haha.

Seriously, lots of hard work has gone into this, and to have it means the world to me. My overall setup is about $3300 I think. Looking forward to getting back to work!

Edit: Got my X1 setup as planned. Works like a breeze! My tv was only 720, nice to have full HD.

Also, considering my specs, I find it odd that it seems to struggle when I play SWTOR on ultra. I should have more than enough power. I've ran Crysis 3 and Gears UE on this maxed with ease yet somehow SWTOR seems to have issues.

Square Enix has a steam sale going on. Up to 80% off all games. New Tomb Raider going for 45 bucks I think.

Also, has anyone ever used this site to buy games? I've read a lot of good about it and it's been promoted from some popular youtubers.

I have. Very cheap CD keys. I bought Mad Max off that site. I would recommend them.

Been obsessing about cable management lately. I've noticed it til I started looking at other people's setups. I never liked cables, so I've been putting a lot of effort recently into getting that right.

I normally just call the cable guy.

On a side note, you know your job sucks when there isn't even a title for your profession.

Added LED's and a USB hub and continued with my cable management. Added an Anchor for my headsets, another signum for the cables too. Drilled a hole in the desk to run the M/KB through.

Small 4 port USB hub mounted on the side of my desk easier use for controllers and my headset. 7 port USB hub mounted on the roof of the desk for my KB/M, MIDI Keyboard, and Audio Interface. Swapping the case for a red NZXT 530 to match everything. Getting a racing chair as well to also compliment the setup. After those last two, I'll be done with it completely.

Wow! That's a great set up!

About the red though... Every time a red light turns on, old habits kick in and I end upon my knees with a... Nevermind.

Hahaha

Thanks. I'm shafted by the camera I have though. Once I get a better one, I'll be able to really show it off properly. It's been a lot of working put into this. Price is over 4000 at this point if I were to literally account for everything. Couldn't be happier though, but once it's finished 100%, then it'll really pop.

Really getting in the mood for my PC upgrade. Built my current one back in 2010 with an i7 930, 6GB RAM, and a 470FTW at the time. Only thing I've upgraded is the GPU to a 670FTW back in 2012 I believe. It's still pumping out newer games decently but I'm looking for something that will be ready for Oculus Rift. I've been an AMD guy up until this processor so I'm really hoping the new Zen is a return to the glory days for AMD. Also thinking about going with an AMD card because of that but I've always had great luck with EVGA for nVidia cards so we'll see.

Yes and I recommend a 1080 with a aftermarket cooler/boost over the reference design.
If I stuck with nVidia I'd probably go with a 1070FTW unless the pricing wasn't much different. The FTW series has been good for me the last few.

Im on the fence now to either get another 980ti or titan or exchange my 980 ti and get a 1080 (with possibly another). From what im gathering the card has some throttling issues. I'm not too sure to put that baby in my editing/gaming rig! What do you think Yay or Nay?

I'd say get another 980ti.

Even with just one 980TI you are set. Wait until big pascal comes out late in the year or early next before upgrading.

Just my 2 cents.
