PES 2015 for PS4 and Xbox One

I expect a prettier looking, more responsive PES 2014, I'm setting the bar pretty low.

The keepers, presentation and commentary will still be terrible.

I still like PES, I know it is a dirty word and a taboo these days but I still have fun with it. It captures football in a way that FIFA never does and I can't quite put my finger on what that is.

It won't sell better anyways but hopefully it plays better.

Sport titles are unique market. Unlike other genre say shooters, where its normal to buy more than one, most people buy one franchise of a sport & stick with it until the next iteration. Make scene really, as you do not really need 2 titles that play the same stuff.

Not really. Well as far as football goes there has never been 2 quality titles, IMO. Back in the day PES was the king and Fifa was, well, crap. Nowadays it is the opposite. PES is too stuck in the past. I hope PES15 is where they bring it, but I am not holding my breath. They swore the change to a new engine would be a big difference, but it was not. PES 14 is pretty terrible.

Hmmm, Don"t disagree with what you said, but that wasn't my point.

My point being, unlike say shooter genre, where a gamer can typically buy Metro, then Halo later, for sport titles, people do not usually buy 2 of same sport type. If they buy PES15, unlikely they will buy Fifa, & the reverse is true.

I know I will buy one or the other, but not both.

So the competition is more direct than many genre. Its just an interesting thought.

Ya...I still play PES 5 on PS2 from time to time. Just update that version with modern graphics/physics and we're set.

PES was king back in the PS2/Xbox days. So good in fact I thought I would never need to play FIFA again.

Like others back in PS2 and Xbox days I was totally for what we called Winning Eleven and couldn't stand FIFA. It wasn't until FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 that I started getting into EA's footie game. FIFA '13 and '14 I played throughout the entire year which is more than I can say about almost any other video game. Can't see me going back to PES now as I've got clubs and a built up CAP that depend on me to stick with FIFA.

I am with the majority, haven't touch PES since 6 had every Winning Eleven/PES prior to 6 also. I wouldn't dare look let alone think Fifa was better but fact is it wasn't. Fifa 2009 was my first, I got tired of waiting for Konami to get it right. I haven't looked back since.
