This is a game I've been waiting for...a very long time. The Baldur's Gate series is probably in my top 5. This was when Bioware was really kicking some butt. I backed this when it was kickstarted and very happy to see it finally coming out. I've already pre-downloaded and can't wait for work to be over so I can start playing it.

There was a beta out for awhile, so there's plenty of videos of it's gameplay.

I'll have to try this one out. I've been on an RPG fix as of lately

Looks interesting. Too bad it's not coming to console.

Looks interesting and Obsidian wrote it so I know the story and characters will be top notch. But I think big budget Blockbuster RPG have spoiled me for alot of old school RPGs.

Damn, didn't know about this game until a few days ago. Otherwise, I probably would have bought this. As it stand, I just got grim dawn (arpg early access), so I will not be getting any game anytime soon (I like to finish one game before moving to another).

Impression please! I really wanted to play this, but damn, why is every good game a time sink.

I've only gotten a few hours in so far. If you ever played Baldur's Gate (1 and 2) or Icewind Dale or Torment; it's exactly like that.

It's not using D&D rules. They have their own setup (spells, races, talents, skills, etc)...pretty deep.

There's lots of dialogue and exploring. I've enjoyed the combat quite a bit. I'm playing on hard, so I'm managing things quite a bit (pausing). If you like that sort of thing, then you'll like this game.

It is a big time sinker. I have to pull myself away, but I want to keep moving forward.

It is a nice change of pace in RPG terms where it's less 'actiony' and more strategic. It's the only type of game where I like micro managing.

Dang, I need to get this. IMO, BG was the best RPG set in fantasy world and has still yet to be rivaled. We're talking about substance over beauty here.

Fallout 1 and 2 being the best RPGs set in modern times...yes, better than the newer Fallout games (which are still great...imo).

I think Obsidian is rolling out a patch this week. The fact that none of you picked it up day one is probably a good thing.

Mine shipped (box'd version). I can't wait to get back into it. NWN2 is my all-time favorite RPG ever (with a close second being BG2). If Obsidian can come anywhere close to that caliber of a game, then I'm going to love this! Cancelled my pre-order for W3 actually. Can't play both of them.

Good time to be a PC gamer, so many quality game. I am playing Grim Dawn (early access arpg), once I am feel I give value from it, I may get this game, but I guess Witcher 3 will have shipped. So much choices....

Been looking into this recently and just watched a video of character creation and beginning quest and definitley something i am interested in.

Fantastic game. Have encountered no bugs as of yet, but I'm not all that far in. Really think I love these old school inspired RPG's. Can't wait for some sweet mods!

I think you will encounter bugs quite soon. I mean, spider is a bug right?

Can someone convince me NOT to get this game, I am pondering between this & Bloodborne.

I'm playing both right now as you really need something to take a break from BB once in awhile. That said, I'm not sure I could chose one over another, really depends on what you are looking for. Both are fantastic.

Also POE patch should be out today.

1.03 Patch Notes

This game is on my list to get, but think gone wait, maybe gone pick it up after The Witcher 3.

I think I skip this until later, as I really need to spend more time on my game project. I think my next game will be WItcher 3.

For me, it's this then Witcher 3.

If you have gaming time, then why not.

Edit: are you answering to my question., If so, thanks.

RPG is my favorite genre, by a distance, so I probably get this over Bloodborne, but the latter is something I may certainly pick up at some point when I have a (unlikely) game drought.

Started a new game with the patch just to be safe and because I wanted to try a different build anyway. Ended finding some things I missed along the way. Game is excellent, if I had one gripe it would be the fact that you really need at least 5 in your party to have a chance in any of the tougher fights. This is really not a problem, but I just prefer smaller parties.

I managed for awhile with 3, but lots of re-tries. More the better and easier to allocate tactics. Playing on hard.
