Now this is just getting silly, isn't it? The mad part is that Sony currently only has one first-party blockbuster scheduled for 2023, and that's Marvel's Spider-Man 2. It's not unreasonable to expect at least one more PlayStation Studios title to drop next year.

If the ps5 had a proper web browser instead of the gimped one it has atm you could just play GP on there. Or do said ps5 owners not own a cell phone? ;)

Phil is full of s*** as are the other MS execs who keep pretending they want everyone to be able to play games everywhere without including "on gamepass" in their answers. They lie to try to fool regulators and to some extent the enthusiast media who all love Phil because they get so much access to him into thinking that MS truly has no desire to take these games from other platforms. The fact that they already told sony when their last planned release would be shows they do plan to take COD away and they need to be called out for their lies instead of Spencer constantly getting a pat on the back because he plays Destiny and Jim Ryan doesn't lol.

Not even outraged, as a PC gamer I'm ecstatic. Just stating MS factually is incorrect but go ahead and keep spinning trying to protect them lol.

Basically but Xbox fans will defend it nonetheless and argue it's accessible!

You can play on "your platform of choice" as long as it 1) supports Xbox Game Pass and 2) you're subscribed to said Game Pass :p

But what if my platform of choice is not the cellphone, I'm forced to play it there anyways? How is that giving me a "choice"? Also why no native version option if it's a choice?

If it really is a choice, Phil would be making COD on all platforms native no strings attached. Like Bungie with Destiny where I can choose to buy and play the version I want on the platform I want.

In Gamepass infrastructure yes I agree, PS Plus is playing catch up still. But actual games? Nah, Sony is still consistent and beating Xbox in that department so far this gen with their first party outputs.

Hey now, I thought we were having at least some form of intelligent discussion lol.

I believe PS won't die off because of one game but it's interesting to see if this is just the second domino to fall after Zenimax and if there will be more and to me it sounds like there will be.

There will be more. Can't see them being big ones like Zenimax or Acti Blizzard, though.

Why don’t you have that same passion with all the third party moneyhatting Sony does preventing people from playing games on devices of their choice?

Both companies do the 3rd party exclusive content crap so it evens out. This is unprecedented.

JinCA already explained the console price thing with how much the euro and everything has dropped relative to the USD.

Psygnosis cost 20 million euros back then vs 68.7 billion juggernaut. You do the math.
