I am not going to risk clicking on that thing, and that goodness auto-play is forbidden here.

Everyone should suffer that :p

DON HO

Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
In the wine (in the wine)
Make me happy (make me happy)
Make me feel fine (make me feel fine)
Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
Make me warm all over
With a feeling that I'm gonna
Love you till the end of time
So here's to the golden moon
And here's to the silver sea
And mostly here's a toast
To you and me
So here's to the ginger lei
I give to you today
And here's a kiss
That will not fade away

then there was Liberace
and Tiny Tim... tiptoe through the tulips

What stands out to me is the PS4's appparently 1080p requirement. I'm assuming that is native, but it might just require everything to be upscaled to 1080p. Let's assume that it is a native requirement, what tradeoffs are going to have to be made to ensure that? will games suffer as a result? if they do will they can the policy?

MS tried that with the 360, it didn't work so well and was canned, so lets hope its canned as well. Giving the devs the choice is the best solution as devs are naturally incentivized to make the game the best it can be with the resources provided.

I wouldn't put much stock into something that only one site is posting as news; anyone can write an article and say a company representative said something (that's the beauty of it all, as long as you don't name a representative there is really no limits to what you can post). I would be more inclined to believe them if they had a copy of Sony's TRC at the least; but this is pretty much like believing the rumors that an Xbox One representative states all Xbox One games must have complete motion controls in addition to traditional controls (and I have actually read this load of bunk on a random gaming site).

Edit: That and the fact one of Sony's own first party games coming in 2014 isn't going to be 1080p kinda kills that dead in it's tracks.

Yeah true, well I hope it's not true, that practice was bad on the 360.

Seems like Sony has something to hide.
Would be something if it turns out to be same resolution as XO, but wasn't it said that PS4 is 900p? Oh and on another forum today it was said that according to....here we go...cboat a s***storm of negative XO news is coming soon. Lol....from now on i'm just going to focus and only believe facts and nothing but.

Also...tuesday we get XO and PS4 footabe of BF4.

I'm not even worried about such, if it sounds like FUD, reads like FUD and is written like FUD...it's FUD.

Gosh, that looks like it, smells like it, let me step in it to make sure! :smash:

As soon as they have the time to make up their next hit pieces compile their insider information.

I heard that no one will know the true resolution of the xbox one verison of battlefield 4..

the only way to play it is that kinect needs to register a bandanna over your eyes. if you try play battlefield 4 on the xbox one with out one. You're xbox will explode. It's going to be pretty hard to play it in general that way but microsoft wants to hide something.

Deep Down I thought was 1080p/60fps? And that's Capcom

All games are confirmed native 1080p on PS4 because Sony has a requirement. The scaler is used to scale games down to the required support for Vita remote play, so the PS4 can't render games at less than 1080p even if Sony allowed it.

I'm at the point that I do not believe anything any dev, merchant, or gaming "journalist" says about the next gen. Until I have the final retail product hooked up to my home system, everything is conjecture, FUD or outright lies. I'll evaluate what the truth is Nov 15 and 22.

Whats not to believe. This actually makes perfect sense. Sony dictated that all games are required to render in native 1080p, and that factoid is absolutely confirmed. Microsoft didn't dictate that and instead allowed the game developers to present the games how they felt the games would look best.

Yes, hurray!!! All PS4 games are totally confirmed 1080p. PS4 gamers are happy because they like dictates like "games are only good if they are rendered in 1080p"

Us X1 gamers are happy, because we get to play the games as the developers intended.

Everybody gets what they want and are happy. I am perfectly happy with the status quo.

You're going to need to provide a LINK to an actual Sony executive's statement that every PS4 game be rendered in native 1080p.

You're going to need to provide a LINK to an actual Sony executive's statement that every PS4 game be rendered in native 1080p.

http://www.gameranx.com/updates/id/...osts-runs-natively-at-1080p-on-playstation-4/

The company has gone on record to state that they require all of the games on the PlayStation 4 to run natively at 1080p, but there have been rumors this past week that the game was upscaled on the Xbox One. Rest assured, this isn't the case with the PlayStation 4.

On Edit: Here i another one

http://www.charlieintel.com/2013/10/24/sony-confirms-call-of-duty-ghosts-is-native-1080p-on-ps4/

There's no Sony statement at that link, just an opinion.
"The company has gone on record to state that they require all of the games on the PlayStation 4 to run natively at 1080p"
But they don't source the "record" they are referring to.

Found this statment though:
"Discussing the differences between PS4 and Xbox One with Eurogamer, Stewart Gilray, who is working on a secret PS4 game at Just Add Water, said:
We're working with Sony right now, and they're trying to actively push 60 frames per second, 1080p."
http://www.videogamer.com/news/sony_actively_pushing_for_60fps_1080p_with_ps4.html

"Trying to pushing for" and "require" are two different things.
Got another link?

Ok, so we have extremely heavy smoke, sparks everywhere, but no fire...

Again, no source in the article's statement. Without a source or confirmantion link, which is standard writing, it's just the author's opinion and perception.
"This isn’t that shocking as Sony has already gone on record to say that they require ALL of their PS4 games to be native 1080p"
The only source they link is Adam Boyes statement about CoD Ghosts running 1080p & 60f/s on PS4.

All this aside, I seriously doubt Sony has "dictated" that ALL PS4 games run 1080/60f/s MANDATORY.
That would be ridiculous, and would be shooting themself in the foot.
But what I would believe is that Sony would try and push all their FIRST PARTY games to be 1080/60, and probably only their launch window games.
And of course that would have NO EFFECT on XboxOne games, because those games won't be coming to XboxOne in the first place.

Those are the same story just different sites. Pretty weird that they have "gone on record" but nobody seems to know about it.

I find it weird that a Sony Executive knows what the resolution of Infinity Wards and Activisions games are. In either case we will have and answer by end of tomorrow. Because if a story about games graphics being compromised just so that Sony can say "All our games are 1080p!" breaks out right now...
