Everyone should suffer that
What stands out to me is the PS4's appparently 1080p requirement. I'm assuming that is native, but it might just require everything to be upscaled to 1080p. Let's assume that it is a native requirement, what tradeoffs are going to have to be made to ensure that? will games suffer as a result? if they do will they can the policy?
MS tried that with the 360, it didn't work so well and was canned, so lets hope its canned as well. Giving the devs the choice is the best solution as devs are naturally incentivized to make the game the best it can be with the resources provided.
I am not going to risk clicking on that thing, and that goodness auto-play is forbidden here.
Yeah true, well I hope it's not true, that practice was bad on the 360.I wouldn't put much stock into something that only one site is posting as news; anyone can write an article and say a company representative said something (that's the beauty of it all, as long as you don't name a representative there is really no limits to what you can post). I would be more inclined to believe them if they had a copy of Sony's TRC at the least; but this is pretty much like believing the rumors that an Xbox One representative states all Xbox One games must have complete motion controls in addition to traditional controls (and I have actually read this load of bunk on a random gaming site).
Ok, good enough for me then .I'm not even worried about such, if it sounds like FUD, reads like FUD and is written like FUD...it's FUD.
Would be something if it turns out to be same resolution as XO, but wasn't it said that PS4 is 900p? Oh and on another forum today it was said that according to....here we go...cboat a s***storm of negative XO news is coming soon. Lol....from now on i'm just going to focus and only believe facts and nothing but.Seems like Sony has something to hide.

Ketto which game coming in 2014 from Sony is 720p?
おしゃん @o_cean 13h
@CheapyD So the Xbox one version of CoD is 720p? Is it because your capture footage is in 720p?
David Abrams @CheapyD
@o_cean yes. No.
おしゃん @o_cean 13h
@CheapyD Mind if I ask how you know this then? I'm just curious
David Abrams @CheapyD 13h
@o_cean I know people who would know
Deep Down I thought was 1080p/60fps? And that's Capcom
I'm at the point that I do not believe anything any dev, merchant, or gaming "journalist" says about the next gen. Until I have the final retail product hooked up to my home system, everything is conjecture, FUD or outright lies. I'll evaluate what the truth is Nov 15 and 22.
This actually makes perfect sense.
Sony dictated that all games are required to render in native 1080p, and that factoid is absolutely confirmed.
Microsoft didn't dictate that and instead allowed the game developers to present the games how they felt the games would look best.
Yes, hurray!!! All PS4 games are totally confirmed 1080p. PS4 gamers are happy because they like dictates like "games are only good if they are rendered in 1080p" Us X1 gamers are happy, because we get to play the games as the developers intended.
You're going to need to provide a LINK to an actual Sony executive's statement that every PS4 game be rendered in native 1080p.
The company has gone on record to state that they require all of the games on the PlayStation 4 to run natively at 1080p, but there have been rumors this past week that the game was upscaled on the Xbox One. Rest assured, this isn't the case with the PlayStation 4.
There's no Sony statement at that link, just an opinion.

"The company has gone on record to state that they require all of the games on the PlayStation 4 to run natively at 1080p"
But they don't source the "record" they are referring to.
Found this statment though:
"Discussing the differences between PS4 and Xbox One with Eurogamer, Stewart Gilray, who is working on a secret PS4 game at Just Add Water, said:
We're working with Sony right now, and they're trying to actively push 60 frames per second, 1080p."
http://www.videogamer.com/news/sony_actively_pushing_for_60fps_1080p_with_ps4.html
"Trying to pushing for" and "require" are two different things.
Got another link?
On Edit: Here i another one

Those are the same story just different sites. Pretty weird that they have "gone on record" but nobody seems to know about it.
