I'm disappointed too but I understand, how much positive press are they going to get about their new machine when the news is wall to wall protests and riots every day? Not anywhere near as much as the criticism they'd get for doing it plus the event would be totally overshadowed. This wasn't going to be a perfect time, we are in a deep recession for crying out loud but there can be a much better time than this week. I hope it's not too far off, this stuff needs to start settling down a bit or it's just going to start spilling from one city to the next.

I had no idea that the mans memorial service was going to be on the 4th, yeah this was definitely the right move. Rumor is (and I have no clue if it's true) that it'll be moved to the 12 which is the following Friday.
I think the pandemic screwed up some of their plans but at least now we'll see games actually running on the dev kit.
At the very bare minimum its not even good to do it from a marketing standpoint. They want people paying attention.
Saw that going around a few days ago, people were saying it was fake because of the way the lighting is set up and how clear the image is from off angle. I have no clue if it's real or not but that's just what I saw.
No doubt that played a big part in it, I'm under no illusions that a corporation is looking out for it's self and it's products first and you don't want your first big reveal to take place when there is wall to wall coverage of mass protests and riots going on. I hope the date of the 12th is true.

Yeah. As much as I hate the riots, Floyd was done wrong, and the least we can do is respect the man. I didn't realize it was his funeral either.
He really was a victim in this situation regardless of whatever his role was in his own initial apprehension. Sony is wise to give it some space.
