Yeah, it looks very cool. Geoff is a douche though.
Nah. Hes a done lot to pull gaming into the mainstream. He seems to genuinely love gaming, and he needs to get some damn sleep, lol. Looks tired all the time

So you can actually blow on it....?

Not too much new, but it seems the speaker is much louder and the vibration is definitely more advance. I guess the create button is a huge secret Sony is holding out on, still. It definitely looks a great deal better than the DS4, though -- looks longer and definitely more bulky. Steath experiences are going to be crazy with this level of immersion.

As far as the blowing into the controller, the DualSense has a standard mic. I mentioned this so many times as a game feature that i kinda forgot about it. It will likely go beyond just chatting but interaction in the game world. The DualSense is like a tool box of features, and every tool will play its own role during gameplay.

Sixaxis
Haptics
Adaptive triggers
Light bar
Speaker
Touchpad
Mic

Sony is shooting for immersion.

I've always thought the DS5 looked great... now, that console still looks ugly as sin. I'm sorry, I just don't get it. When I do get one though, I just want to bury it in my cabinet somewhere. Neither looks great imo, but one is like blatantly offensive. I wish it looked more like the controller, to be honest. I know people will get upset because I am being honest in my assessment, but I'm not saying it'll be a bad console, just an ugly one. It hasn't grown on me one bit.

It definitely takes some getting used to -- especially if you have a more conservative taste. Things like that are strictly understandable. Unfortunately, a console can't come in a wide range of designs, so what you get has to work for everyone picks it up. Luckily, the color patterns can change.

The funny thing is, even everyone didn't want the white controller, I was hoping that the console would match. I do like the white, but just not the anesthetic design/white combo, if that makes sense. Maybe it'll still grow on me.

I do think that the controller could easily end up being my all-time favorite of any gen, and I haven't even held one yet!

Well, the fact that it has a lot of new packed-in features that's going to help enhance the experience, i think it separates itself from the pack quite well, IMO. Speaking of pack-in, Astro Bots isn't a demo or tutorial at all, based on Jeff, this game is going to be hours longs.

More big news coming with our latest trailer is the confirmation of a FREE upgrade option for PlayStation 4 players of DIRT 5, if and when you make the switch to PlayStation 5. As with the Smart Delivery system for Xbox Series X, if you have DIRT 5 on PlayStation 4, either in digital or physical form, you get the game on PlayStation 5, free of charge! All live pre-orders and more are at dirtgame.com/dirt5.

Can’t agree. But it’s all good in the hood. Well, I agree with the tired part :)

Whenever something comes out of the PS4 controller mic it gives me a hell of a fright, still not used to it haha.

Well, the mic is different from the speaker. But yes, they do create a more personal feeling from that of the TV.

With Tempest Engine as a completely separate experience, i think this is really going to separate the audio from the controller that much more, though.

Never liked the speaker on the ps4 controller, gimmicky at best, terribly bothersome at worst.

Then again, you don't like the PlayStation as a whole anyway, so that's not that surprising.

I think with more options, developers don't have to work as hard to create a great experience, and this is what the PlayStation is doing. It gets away from the tried, yet old, static way of playing games that you would experience on an arcade machine. It also doesn't force developers to use every single feature from the controller for their game. So, while one game may use 1 to 3 features others may use all of them. It all depends on the game that is being designed. It's a tool box of features at your disposal. You don't have to like them all, but it's best to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.

Oh, but I do lol
I'm fairly sure I've got more trophies than you, played hundreds of more ps1 and ps2 games than you and am more knowledgeable than you in the gaming history of the playstation from the first to this gen.

I never was on the fanboy side of xbox one and tried to justify the kinect or the whole cloud angle, I knew from the start it was less powerful and would have less stellar graphics even if the cpu was clocked higher.
I found the delusional xbox one fans as lol worthy as the ps5 fans that tries to argue that the ssd will somehow save the console from being a less powerful console.

*cough* friend's PlayStation *cough*

I think the consoles will be much closer than you may realize. In addition to this, graphics don't make great gaming experiences, as you can see below:

...Great developers do.

Sony is opening the gates for great developers by building an environment where those developers can create great experiences without the limitation.

Lol wut
Look up my psn id, also there's members here from wcg forum that I'm fairly sure know that I even still have all my playstations (some launch models) hooked up at home, that's a pretty long conspiracy to hold on too just to have an argument against you lol

Aye, I'm not the one you need to prove it to.

You're the one who raised the question, repeating behaviour you've chastised others for when you're the one being asked. I'd call you a shill at this point but I don't think you get paid for this because you're just not that good.

To each its own. I have nothing to prove. Apparently, some do.

“Just having higher fidelity on screen to make Seb's team's work shine in a way that it never did before is really exciting. Of course, I mentioned the frame rate. I think that's something really important. Until now our games and consoles have always been 30fps. Being able to target 60 for an action game, it's very exciting."

“It's got a lot of nice features with the haptics feedback, the active triggers. We are a first person game. We really value immersion a lot in our games,” he said. “Really feel the weapons in your hand, its reaction, how it reloads, how it reacts to reloading, etc... I think that players will enjoy those functionalities.

I imagine the more exclusive time developers have with the platform, the more they'll keep tapping features like this.

Who says the SSD does that though? Often times it's the xbox people who can't accept that there are certain parts of the PS5 that are better even when PS fans agree that the XSX is the more powerful machine, it's just stupid. People are acting like children, there are benefits to both machines, some things the PS5 does better and some things the XSX does better and the XSX is the overall more powerful console. It's the closest two machines have been at launch in generations and it's going to be up to the 1st party developers to truly take advantage of that power and put out games that look and play great.

It's going to be a wider gap this gen than the last. Higher fps and much better RT, last gen was basically 900p vs 1080p

It's not going to be as large as you think. Last gen was 40%. This gen, you are literally looking at around 17%. The specs in Sony's system aren't just low specs; They are also designed to be efficient in every way. This won't close the gap, no. But it won't be left it in the dust neither like you think.

In addition to this, Sony’s console is shooting for a different side of visual fidelity.

I’m ok if we get Uncharted 6: In Space is 4k 30fps with visual fidelity that blows away every other ps5 game in existence

because that’s where he finds a stunt that sends him away into ”the last of us” universe setting up the, Sony Video Game Universe (SVGU), tie in to HZD....but in reality it’s part of the PS Theory that Sly and Rachet are just evolved future versions of humans
