I’m ok if we get Uncharted 6: In Space is 4k 30fps with visual fidelity that blows away every other ps5 game in existence

because that’s where he finds a stunt that sends him away into ”the last of us” universe setting up the, Sony Video Game Universe (SVGU), tie in to HZD....but in reality it’s part of the PS Theory that Sly and Rachet are just evolved future versions of humans

Sony's 1st party has always been risk takers when it came to developing new IPs for the system. If you notice, they don't have a mascot for the platform even though they have so many 1st party IPs under their belt. So the experience stays fresh without the fear of running the IP into the ground. So, i am very skeptical that we'll get another Uncharted next gen. Hopefully, it is something in space, though.

they, their large first party devs, kinda play it safe until they get bored with material (Crash) or a series drys out (killzone) or sadly titles from their most creative and unique studio, Japan Studio, tend to target a real niche/small audience that they just get looked over (locoroco) or forgotten (Gravity Rush)....besides I’m ok if there’s eight existing uncharted games (not including the collection)

It's going to be a wider gap this gen than the last. Higher fps and much better RT, last gen was basically 900p vs 1080p

You have no clue about higher FPS, that's totally up to what a dev decides to do not the console power and there won't be a big enough difference between these two to allow 60fps on one and 30fps on the other, even DIRT's 120fps mode is coming to the PS5 version as well. As far as RT, it won't be a huge difference either, the cores in the PS5 will be running faster so yes there are less of them but you'll be getting more out of each one, I'm sure the XSX will have a small advantage there overall but not some major difference.

A lot of rumors that the expanded team in San Diego is working on that, I'd rather they made something else though especially if they are planning on going with the Daughter.

Oh, the list is much, much, much longer than that. Just to name a very small handful, Socom, Syphon Filter, Twisted Metal, WarHawk are some really good one that I'm sure many wouldn't mind a reboot. :)

I have faith in Sony bringing fresh new IP classics this coming gen. They've not disappointed a single gen this far.
Nintendo > Sony > MS this gen in regards to first party quality.

This is just for the PS4 in just a matter of a few months: Dreams, The Last of Us 2, Iron Man VR, Ghost of Tsushima. And that is with the PS4 coming to a close and VR being a test of the waters. It's easier to say it than it is to do it. I won't say it can't be done, but Microsoft has their work cut out for them.

It's impressive. In a couple of decades they might even get close to Nintendo.

Nintendo is not the one leading in exclusives, but they do understand this industry, i must admit.
They lead in game sales and console sales, and their games are among the highest rated. Outside of that, they are not leading.

Sony feel that video game content sharing can go a step beyond and allow the recipient to interact with the content the way only video games allow, by playing it:

“For video game sharing, users are able to share videos of video game segments, but simply sharing a video of a video game segment lacks important aspects of video gaming.”

There’s room in sharing and streaming for the receiver to actually play the content on the console. The patent itself uses this example:

jhhJ51zWvBwgGqeyDCKuaWpTYk7kbd1CvdzJ0dkL.png

Whilst this isn’t the most glamorous of games, the first user would record this footage and send it to the second, and the server won’t just save the footage, but the segment of the game in question:

“When shared, state information for the video game segments is included such that the users begin in the same position with the same relevant statistics. By enabling video game sharing, user enjoyment and video game popularity are increased.”

Sounds like that new create button.

Sounds like an evolution of share play.

By comparison, 4.5 million PS4 units were shipped to retailers in 2013, and it took until June 2014 for that figure to reach 10 million. Assuming there’s enough demand to justify this increase in production, PS5 sales may be stronger out of the gate compared to PS4.

The facility is almost completely automated, and apparently there's only four people on the line at any given time. Robots do most of the assembly, including twisting wires and threading them through small recesses, while the workers simply feed the unfinished consoles onto the belts and then package the finished products.

Ok, i thought it was interesting that Sony did this. I mean, obviously the process was planned for a while but the doubling of the units seem VERY aggressive. Looks like they have plans to sell through a large sum of units very quickly, which brings me to the price...

I think they're just pretty confident they're gonna sell a crap ton of units, it will be interesting to see price. But they have proven themselves this gen and will most likely start next gen with very strong sales regardless of games/power difference etc.

I don't see them being as aggressive as Xbox with pricing, most of the PS5 news has been extremely positive even with an average first showcase, they just have that brand power.

I don't think they're going to be lower than Xbox at all, but I'm wondering if their pricing is being underestimated, though
