Ahhh the memories, the first time I played the Tomb Raider games I couldn't believe what I was seeing. We played the crap outta them.

Then there were the Tekken tourneys and the broken controllers. I had to flip the PS1 upside down to play that f'ing game.

Of there was Resident Evil, playing that game late at night with the lights turned off, miss those days.

Looking back on it we used to play spend so much time playing video games its a wonder I even had a girlfriend...

Sears was where I first saw a PS1, the demo unit had Battle Arena Toshinden. I remember being blown away playing that game, the graphics were so real!
 
I went to a Mom and Pops store that had the import PS1 hooked with a few games Toshinden(not battle arena in japan) Tekken,Ridge Racer and a Technosoft game. Man I was blown away to the point I bought one with Tosh with my IC money.

Yes resident evil was pretty awesome back then.

Is a shame Tomb raider fell off after 2 and never really got back to that greatness.

Another Playstation game I loved to play was the light gun game, Point blank. Tons of fun with a group of friends. Especially if you add some alcohol to the mix.

Not sure if many people did this with PS1, but I used to wait for the game to load up and start, then pop open the disc lid and pop in a music cd, then close it and play games with my own soundtrack. First time gaming with a "custom soundtrack", s*** was cash. Of course you'd have to pop the game back in when before you switched levels, but those were good times.
 
It worked as long as the game didn't try to load something that wasn't in memory already; then it'd crash.
