Policing in general is a scam.

Yeah our city went through this. They put up a bunch of speed cameras in school zones "to keep the kids safe". They were horribly wrong and had all sorts of "errors" like ticketing people in the middle of the night when the school zone wasn't even active. We fought and got them removed. It was a blatant cash grab and had nothing to do with public safety.
