Outlast is a first person, survival horror game developed by Red Barrels. It was announced as a PlayStation Plus Freebie long before PlayStation 4 was released. The game is set inside Mount Massive Asylum for the mentally ill. Players will take control of a journalist, who is sent to investigate this mysterious place.

I thought I read Borderlands 2 was supposed to be out this month? I haven't seen it yet.

PS+ is awesome though.
 
This PS+ update made me bring my ps3 back down to the basement to finish bioshock infinite and then I'm going to download DMC and brothers when they come out. I thought I was done with last gen!

lol I've been playing more PS3 than PS4 lately. Aside from the occasional Killzone MP, FIFA match, or using the NHL app, most of my gaming has been my PS3 backlog.

Haha, that may soon be the same for me. I just finished playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes and have only NBA 2K14 and Trine 2 to go through for the PS4. With the drought until Tomb Raider Definitive Edition comes out at the end of January, I might as well just finish Bioshock: Infinite, and play some DMC and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Or ... hm, should I go for NFS: Rivals ?

NFS was ok, but I just traded it in. My issue with it is the Racer career at higher levels is almost not fun at all. It gets really difficult and not only do you have to worry about rubberband AI but also the police which I think are way too aggressive. The Cop career on the other hand is much better. I only did 20 ranks for the Racer (main story) but got to 40 with the cops.

I still got maybe 10-15 hours out of the game and then got $40 for the trade, so it wasn't too bad. Unless you absolutely need a racer like I did, I'd honestly wait until DriveClub comes out.

oh Bioshock Infinite want to try it rented it wife wanted to play it but she did not like it. DMC I really wanted to try because of the dev happy I know I can do it for sorto free now.
 
I thought it was pretty easy on normal, aside from a few parts where it seemed more cheap than hard. I found the few vigors I powered up made it to easy and the ones I neglected sucked cause they were to weak.
 
Darn, just bought Brothers two days ago on the 360.

But wow, Sony is really killing it with these PSN Plus games and really putting Microsoft's Games with Gold service to shame. It's embarrassing.

Although it's better than nothing, many of Microsoft's GWG games are old and can be purchased for a $1. The PSN Plus games are relevant and provide significant value.

How long does it take you all to download a 5GB game? I just took me close to 8 hours to download Grid 2, dang. I know the reason but I just wanted to compare my dl times with folks back home in the states or anywhere else.

I got a new PS3 so I'm really looking forward to January's PS+ deals. There are so many games on PS3 that I've missed out on. I went out and found Red Dead for $10 still in the plastic, nice!
 
Grid 2 took me about 20 minutes to download...DMC i downloaded yesterday...took about 45 minutes

Try using LTE(If your area is supported)... just subscribe via your phone and hotspot it. I usually let my laptop connect to my phone as LTE is faster than my DSL service.
 
Just finished bioshock infinite, holy mind warp at the end. Just need to start and beat hitman: absolution from last months' ps+ games and then download DMC and brothers when they come out.
 
I think sarlndr is in the Philippines if I remember correctly. Surprised the data rate and cost isn't cheaper than rip off US.
 
Is thre an option to change the thread title? We could make this into a thread for new monthly ps+ games news.
 
Thanks to a friend of mine who gave me a free-month of PS-Plus, I DL'ed Borders 2 and Grid 2. I'm having a blast! I probably will end up paying Plus-member if I continue to like what I'm seeing in free games. DMC is coming out tonight. Very nice. I'm going to DL that for sure.
