People said the same about the Wii and look how that worked out. Only time will tell though.
And the Wii has plenty of games that casual gamers love.

You've got that right. It's definitely not the console for anyone that thinks a hundred dollars is a lot of money.THIS is true but dat $100 price difference is one of the most important 180's they needed to do.
PS3 out sells the 360 year to year and will have more lifetime total sales then the 360.
That's what I said a year ago and that's still what I'm saying.
And the Wii has plenty of games that casual gamers love.

Who says the One won't? It isn't even out yet. lol
As of right now the PS3 does not have more sells than the 360...you were wrong the last 6 months with this crap....just like you where wrong with KZ being a 9 and you will be wrong here to as I truly believe you think this will be like the PS2 vs dreamcast all over....which is fukin stupid.
Average gamer doesn't know all that kinect 2.0 has to offer....nor care. In the end, they will care more about gaming, and less about looking at HBO while waiting in a game lobby.
Very true. The snapping feature is cool tech, but how much it will be utilized is something to be seen.
I rarely used any of the Xbox 360 features outside of gaming and netflix. I don't use the media center to stream music, video or photos, I can just go to my computer and look at that stuff.
As for the other apps on the X360, I rarely ever used any of them, like Youtube, Facebook, etc, I just used my tablet or PC.
What you say though, I agree with. Being able to snap TV while waiting for a game lobby or snap back and forth between apps multi-tasking while waiting for a game invite isn't all that appealing.
Don't get me wrong, I think the XB1 features are extremely cool, but imo, and it's just that...my opinion, the features are just gimmics. I think in the end, people are just going to care about games.
Take the Wii as an example. It didn't sell as much as it did for it's wand....it sold as much as it did because it's very casual oriented, and there is a large casual crowd....especially one that loves the mario franchise.
Then what was your point exactly?
Some posters here are arguing against the metrics, and I'm posting what the metrics are. I'm sorry if posting facts and metrics upsets some.
I said most gamers in the end will care about games...you asked how'd that work out for the Wii...worked out well for them, as the they had the games casual gamers loved.
I never said XB1 didn't have games...merely stating that in the end, gamers will flock to XB1 more for games, and less for gimmicky features.
If you would have said this in the first place we wouldn't have had to go through this.

It appeared you we're eluding that the One wouldn't.

Getting "likes" on social media is equivalent to getting people to sign your year book in high school. No console wants to be THAT GUY with no signatures in his year book. Come on man, this is serious stuff.I'm just bored with the popularity contest mentality. Call it metrics and reality and facts all you like -- makes it sound so very objective and scientific -- but all you're talking about is a mass of twittering opinions on social media sites about which of two electronic devices (that do pretty much the same thing) is more popular than the other. It reminds me of being in high school. Being popular isn't a reflection of quality or value or worth. It's just that -- a measure of how many people like you.
Ok. PS4 has more "likes" than X1. Yay? We win?
I don't know, I'm just burned out on the whole console war. I don't get it anymore.
