PS4 headsets

The Gold headset arrived today. I tried it out with Child of Light, and it was really nice. I feel a lot more immersed in the game, now that I can hear all the audio clearly. There was so much that I was missing, even in a small, simple game like this. The music sounds better, and I can hear all the little environmental sounds I was missing before. It's like a whole new layer of the game is present now. The sound quality seems quite good to me, although I'm no audiophile.

I haven't experimented with any of the settings yet or tried any of the app modifications, but I've very pleased with the basics.

Did you have an AV system or were you just using the TV speakers?

I too am using a Turtle Beach PX22 headset now and am more immersed in the games now. After a while though, my ears do get sore.

Just the TV speakers. I kept the volume low, too, so I missed a lot because of that.

Here is a question. Are their any 5.1 headsets that work on both PS4 and Xbox one ?

I haven't used a headset in 2 years. TV speakers are fine with me.

lol..you are missing out on half the game or movie. In a lot of games the audio is the best thing about it.

I have to say, it makes a big difference. It makes me feel like I'm IN the game, in a way that listening through TV speakers did not. It reminds me a little of that "whoah" feeling I got when I first hooked up 5.1 surround sound to my original Xbox. It adds a lot to immersion.

I played a lot of last of us with the PS3 surround sound headset and yo that game sounded good. The music especially and the sounds of the creatures.

OH damn then having 7.1 even with headphones is great then. I can't picture playing without surround sound now.
