I don't think that "image" is supposed to be an official one supplied by Sony. I'm sure they will have something in August, some sites are saying it'll be a console teardown or that there will be two events, one for the teardown and one to announce pre-orders and maybe more games. We'll see, now that we have seen the console and they've shown some games we'll probably start getting more info not long after MS has their showing tomorrow. By not long I don't mean a few days btw lol.

Revealed exclusively as part of IGN's coverage of Comic-Con@Home, the game will arrive in November 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (via Windows Store and Steam). It will be released as a launch title for Xbox Series X this Holiday, and the PS5 version will "release at a later date".

This is what i was waiting on. I'm not too unhappy about this at all. This is what i was hoping, in fact. Backwards compatibility works great in its favor if you can't wait, but by having a delay, now i feel like this will help them focus on the advantages of the console such as the DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers.

Pretty good example of click bait.

SONY EXPLAINS PS5 EXCLUSIVES: proceeds to make a 10 minute where he does not talk about PS5 exclusives at point in the entire video.

Somehow the channel has 6 million subscribers. f***ing youtube. f***ing kids.

Youtubers NEVER have real info unless they get an exclusive official interview they just read stuff on forums and make videos about it. I hate that so many people make a living because they have a webcam and can read lol.

Always bet on the champion.
All I know is if Sony does end up doing their backwards compatibility titles, that would easily push their back catalog over the 10k mark just on legacy titles alone. I think the PS2 by itself was near the 5K mark, let alone PS1, PS3, and PS4 (4K). Nedella better stop playing around. Sony hasn't shown their full hand yet, and this thing could be sitting in the back ready to drop.

well they did say that all titles realesd as of June or July are will be backwards compatible. They did say like a thousand plus will be too but didn’t mention if that’ll be day one or a work in progress, I may have forgotten some details >.<

The first 100 by launch, but they expect the full 4000 to be playable on the system. Even still, with Microsoft supporting their entire legacy, it doesn't hold a candle to Sony's legacy. It is just that vast in size and diversity.

MS isn't supporting full BC with 360 and og xbox just the games that were already tested for Xbox One.

Cerny said it first. :)

mat work, got cliff notes?

Would that really big a good idea?

I’m gonna assume that this would only work with the all digital version...there does seem to be a small slit on the top one though, but why? No you know, this could be kinda neat, could get my friend to paint it my cars colour :) :p

PS5 customizations may go beyond just the console but the controllers, too for strategic reasons. So no, this doesn't just apply to the digital version.

As far as the video earlier, it has been making the rounds online, and it seems to be more than just an RDNA 2 architecture but something much better, which i am still waiting to find out just how true that part is. Sony has a tear down coming up, so hopefully this is mentioned.

It always has looked like those could be something that would be replaced but they haven't confirmed it yet, it would be awesome if so that way we could just get the color we want instead of waiting for a special edition etc or if you are someone who actually likes white consoles you can replace it with a new clean cover once the other one inevitably turns yellow or gets dingy.

I would assume if you want to replace the internal SSD with a larger one that piece is going to have to come off anyway unless there is something that just slides out of the back.

“The game Project Athia (title tentative), which we will release for PS5, is an open-world style game in which users can freely move around the game world,” Matsuda told Weekly Toyo Keizai Plus. “PS5 dramatically improves video technology, such as with the implementation of light-reflecting ‘ray-tracing’ technology. Compared to what you see on PC, it is nearly identical. By utilizing these special traits, we’re able to create incredibly precise imagery. We still plan on developing well-balanced games tailored to a platform’s traits, including smartphone and cloud-based games, but we will never stop developing for high-end platforms such as PS5. Because these things are packed with the best technology.”

The PS4 had a custom faceplate, too. This gen, i guess Sony is going to make a bigger deal of it, though.

This system which will be called Activities has been revealed during a presentation given by WCR 9 director Alan Jarniou and product manager Sébastien Waxin, as reported by Game Reactor Spain. The PlayStation 5 Activities system will allow instant access directly from the menu to races or other parts of the game.

The PlayStation 5 version of WCR 9 will also take advantage of the PlayStation 5 power to offer native 4K, minimum 60fps, improved physics and simulation, and higher texture resolution.

As already mentioned, the PlayStation 5 Activities system was teased a few months ago by Mark Cerny himself. The system will work for both single-player and multiplayer games.

A new Sony patent suggests that a technique similar to Nvidia’s DLSS sampling could be used on PS5 games to improve the resolution of games using AI learning.

The patent, which was spotted by a Reddit user, describes the technique as the following:

An information processing device for acquiring a plurality of reference images obtained by imaging an object that is to be reproduced, acquiring a plurality of converted images obtained by enlarging or shrinking each of the plurality of reference images, executing machine learning using a plurality of images to be learned, as teaching data, that include the plurality of converted images, and generating pre-learned data that is used for generating a reproduction image that represents the appearance of the object.
DLSS stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling and it is an AI-powered technique that can give lower resolution visuals the impression that they are at a higher resolution. For example, most DLSS 2.0 technology looks better than 4K and the Unreal Engine 5 demo used these sampling techniques to make it look like a higher resolution than the 1440p it was running in.

This makes a lot of sense for the PS5 and allows you to use processing power elsewhere whilst still upping the visuals of your game. On top of that, this will make the PS5 more efficient as it will be able to work smarter and use its power in better ways rather than just being the more powerful machine.

DLSS is a Nvidia owned piece of technology, which seems to suggest that Sony and AMD have collaborated to create their own version of the technique that will be able to run on the hardware in the PS5. If you need a full rundown of the technology and specs of the PS5 check out our feature here.

The second one sounds fake as hell. Its too early for Days Gone 2. Parasite Eve remake and Vagrant Story 2 is unlikely.
